Sheesh, a five to seven minute "meeting" means only two minutes max. when they always start five minutes late anyway.
The good thing though will be that it gives more time to congregate around the water cooler before shuffling out the door.
march kingdom ministry insert is about how the field service meetings will be shortened from 10 to 15 minutes down to 5 to 7 minutes.
they want the publishers to report more hours.
in my experience the problem isn't the length of the meeting for service but pioneers and publishers dogging it after the service arrangement.

what kind of response could you expect if you let everyone in your congregation know that.
"... i hate those stupid caleb cartoons.
i hate his crazy mother.
Caleb = governing body = Jesus = God.
To a loyal brain-dead JDubya saying you hate Caleb means you hate God means you are dangerous and should be DF'd.
I told a super dub pioneer a couple weeks ago what I thought of the JW cartoon network and Caleb and that is the basic reaction I got to my comment.
Idiots!
a word to jehovahs witnesses: what is the basis for the authority the seven members of the governing body can claim in controlling the lives of eight million followers?
the organisation they represent has never got one useful piece of information correct in one hundred and thirty five years... so why should they be believed?.
over the years, i've come to notice that some of the friends will not touch the plate with the bread or the cup of wine ,when the emblems are being passed around.
i remember a row of 3 people told the brother to skip over them.
every year i have noticed this behavior.
I thought it actually looked kind of odd for the speaker to be handed the utensils only to immediately hand them back. Why would he have to touch them if he was not partaking? He could just be given the opportunity, but refuse.
Where I am they always do that. After the handlers get through with the passive crowd they all go back to the front row and sit down while one hands off the plate or glass to the others and sits down as they pass it from one to the other. The last one of the handlers then goes onstage and hands the plate or glass to the speaker who then immediately hands it back.
The best time I had in many years was when some of the towns "shining examples" wandered in and sat in the front. When the wine came by the first in line took almost the whole glass full in one big gulp, then choked and hacked and spit what he hadn't swallowed back into the glass and loudly proclaimed, "THAT is some lousy wine!"
once again the beloved and loving governing body are demonstrating their utmost disdain for the rank and file members of the jehovah church.
let us review this interesting trend, starting with some facts!
yay, facts!!!
I perused some of that article.
I notice many of the hounders, and wannabe hounders use the term "Father" in their self-righteous prayers over and over again, as if it is some kind of incantation.
I believe I will start calling it to their attention that they should no longer use that term. They are NOT anointed, and so as par. 16 states, courtesy of the governing body, only the anointed have the right to call Jehovah "Father".
this is the latest offering from the caleb/sophia duo - lesson 16, preach in a foreign language.

i noticed that in paragraph 13 they mention the girl sheryl that i believe was the same girl that was in their video about the typhoon that hit the philippines back in 2013. they talk as if she's so happy and thankful to jehovah even mention that she lost most of her family in that typhoon.
what they don't mention was her family members that were killed in that typhoon were inside a kh thinking they were going to be protected by jehovah since they were in gods house and his people and all.
they also fail to mention that the government authorities were telling people to get out of town but the elders were most likely telling the people in their congregations to stick around and just come to the hall.
Yep, we gotta be "thankful" for what we have despite the fact that the popular JDubya's have more, get more, and can get away with all sorts of "sins".
My JDubya wife found a new husband, left and remarried. Her lies got her all sorts of support from the JDubya's, but were exposed in a worldly legal court with the resulting threat of her being fined and jailed. I was DF'd even though I had done nothing wrong because I took her to court and exposed what should have been private JDubya dirty laundry.
JDubya men were promoted even though they were drunks, embezzlers, adulterers, liars.
the jws have now been discouraging higher education and critical thinking for a long time.
we have all seen the 'dumbing down' of the wt literature.
on a personal level i have seen many of the perceivably intelligent younger members of congregations leave.
it may be getting worse, since they now have the simplified watchtower
I commented in a conversation with another JDubya that back in the 50s and 60s the WT seemed to at least try to "educate" the members. I remember WT teaching people to read, etc. Now instead of raising the ignorant up to a higher level it is all about lowering the bar to the lowest common denominator. That will push out almost anyone who has any real intelligence, at least mentally if not physically, for whatever reason.

the younger JW's seem often to be a little slow?
This is so very true. Just yesterday the young up-and-comer MS that attempted a "Bible" talk held up a dollar bill and proudly proclaimed that the picture on the front was, "George Washington, I think, I don't know because I don't keep up with that sort of thing!"
What sort of idiotic comment was that? Especially form someone who is supposed to be able to "teach" others.
i hated ministry book bags.i hated coming out of my home with the book bags looking like i was going to a seminar.so,i starting going to the ministry school and sunday bible meetings holding only the required books for that day in my hand.. for the sunday meetings,i would just carry the song book, bible and watchtower magazine in my hand.
no book bag!
for the ministry school,i would just carry just what necessary for the evening.
The photo of the two goobers with their over the shoulder strapped bags is the next big thing in JDubya land for the young wannabe hounders to strive for.
After seeing a couple pictures in the mags of guys with the little floppy hat and the shoulder strap bags every last mothers son in the congregation where I still go (for the sake of still in family) are now wearing the identical hats and bags.
What a bunch of brain-dead losers!
