i noticed that in paragraph 13 they mention the girl sheryl that i believe was the same girl that was in their video about the typhoon that hit the philippines back in 2013. they talk as if she's so happy and thankful to jehovah even mention that she lost most of her family in that typhoon.

what they don't mention was her family members that were killed in that typhoon were inside a kh thinking they were going to be protected by jehovah since they were in gods house and his people and all.

they also fail to mention that the government authorities were telling people to get out of town but the elders were most likely telling the people in their congregations to stick around and just come to the hall.

Yep, we gotta be "thankful" for what we have despite the fact that the popular JDubya's have more, get more, and can get away with all sorts of "sins".

My JDubya wife found a new husband, left and remarried. Her lies got her all sorts of support from the JDubya's, but were exposed in a worldly legal court with the resulting threat of her being fined and jailed. I was DF'd even though I had done nothing wrong because I took her to court and exposed what should have been private JDubya dirty laundry.

JDubya men were promoted even though they were drunks, embezzlers, adulterers, liars.

I commented in a conversation with another JDubya that back in the 50s and 60s the WT seemed to at least try to "educate" the members. I remember WT teaching people to read, etc. Now instead of raising the ignorant up to a higher level it is all about lowering the bar to the lowest common denominator. That will push out almost anyone who has any real intelligence, at least mentally if not physically, for whatever reason.

This is so very true. Just yesterday the young up-and-comer MS that attempted a "Bible" talk held up a dollar bill and proudly proclaimed that the picture on the front was, "George Washington, I think, I don't know because I don't keep up with that sort of thing!"

What sort of idiotic comment was that? Especially form someone who is supposed to be able to "teach" others.

i hated ministry book bags.i hated coming out of my home with the book bags looking like i was going to a seminar.so,i starting going to the ministry school and sunday bible meetings holding only the required books for that day in my hand.. for the sunday meetings,i would just carry the song book,bible and watchtower magazine in my hand.

no book bag!

for the ministry school,i would just carry just what necessary for the evening.

The photo of the two goobers with their over the shoulder strapped bags is the next big thing in JDubya land for the young wannabe hounders to strive for.

After seeing a couple pictures in the mags of guys with the little floppy hat and the shoulder strap bags every last mothers son in the congregation where I still go (for the sake of still in family) are now wearing the identical hats and bags.

What a bunch of brain-dead losers!

Hot topic in congregations: having a beard/goatee

i am starting this topic because i was wondering, i see many who leave "the truth" are glad because they can finally have a beard.

is having a beard really a no go in congregations?

how is / was it in your congregation?.

A beard? Where I live when I was still full in I was hauled into the back room and pretty well ordered to trim, thin, and shorten my mustache, or else. I had the typical Marlboro Man mustache, and they thought I should have the pencil line shorter than the corner of my mouth mustache. Kind of like that goober on the big screen of last years convention that had a Hitler mustache. That was just another straw added to the camels load that finally broke it's back!

so the bible reading talks about some "good" appointed man who valued the office more than his wife and turned her over to the crowd to be repeatedly raped until she died.. then the sick hoser dismembers her and sends the body parts around the nation.

later the "faithful" jews from eleven tribes go up to do battle with the one "bad" tribe at god's okay and suffers defeat...twice!

finally the third time god lets them win.. wt says that we have to realize that women were expendable in those days.

I'll have to find the other references. I couldn't believe the warped viewpoint that was presented, at least that is the way I read it.

WT says that we have to realize that women were expendable in those days. The "good" guy let his wife be raped and murdered because he valued his appointed office. And of course the "faithful" thousands who died listening to their OT leader were only allowed to die so the rest could prove they really wanted to go to war with their fellow Jews.

No wonder the JDubya's are such sick freaks, salivating at the thought of billions being turned into human hot dogs. They see nothing wrong with god letting his faithful servants die at the drop of a hat just to test them. What if humans treated their children like that? Oh wait, sorry, they do in WT land. Sacrificing innocent children on the altar of pedophilia!

Do you feel bad throwing away literature?

so do you feel bad throwing away your old literature?.

what about your old song book or bible from your early days in the org?.

if so, is it because of sentimentality, monetary cost or because it might be 'sacred' ?.

Didn't bother me a bit when I loaded up three large trash bags of books, and assorted mags. When I was asked by a well-meaning but somewhat intellectually challenged uber-dub why I was throwing away all those spiritual treasures I told them it was because they were all now "apostate" teachings as "nu-lite" had changed the "truth".

He didn't get it!

It is not clear to me that the people are not witnesses. How do you come to that conclusion based upon the image?

None of the men are wearing the GB ordered suits and ties. No Payless dress shoes. The woman is wearing tennis shoes, not flat, plain Payless dress shoes, and she is not wearing the GB mandated mid-calf length "modest" skirt with a high collared sack with sleeves.

And the most obvious sign they are not JDubya's. . . no jdubya dot (B)org pendants, lapel pins, or stickers to be seen.
