A new evolutionary link
by Half banana inthat heroic labeller of living things, the 18th century swede carl linnaeus, painstakingly grouped into discrete categories everything which grew breathed or moved.
his meticulous ranking of “kinds” made the scientific examination of the living world a whole lot easier.
his legacy is greatly valued and his system is still universally used today.. however as time has unfurled, a problem arose in the observation that nature does not always agree with the human desire for rigid boundaries -- of what makes a family, genus or species.

It will not stop.
Ever hear the "in for a penny, in for a pound" psychological principal?
As a cult member - you HAVE to keep believing, or come to grips with having wastied your life.
More are in for a pound than those who wake up.
Sadly its human nature.

Middle class elders and pioneering children
by Steel ini was looking at my hall the other day some of the upper elders who are retired now have had some pretty good jobs and lives of relative comfort.
i am not exactly sure what the education levels were but they were white collar.
most likely started in a world where you didn’t need a lot of education to get a head.

I would answer - do you remember when you were in the cult, got baptized, and thought that next tuesday the DOG of LOVE was going to horribly killing all the babies in the world cuz their parents dont love jehober?
People in a CULT act like they are in a cult.

Ever notice this about X JWs
by JimmyYoung inits not just x jws but religious people in general.
they feel free to post this crap on the internet about jesus is lord share this post, or some drivel but then if you post any thing that questions it you get jumped on like someone saying the earth is a globe at a flat earth convention.
they can say what ever they want but don't dare question it.

I love the definition of a Fanatic from a West Wing Episode (which many JWs and fundemetalists are).
A fanatic is someone who won't change their mind and can't change the subject.

I have found that contrary to what I had imagined. That lots of X JWs have turned very right wing. After having been enslaved to that type of fact free, black and white, judgmental life in the cult, I would not have guessed that so many would gravitate to that. I see some who seemed to have traded one cult for another, often with eerie similarities.
Im sure I will get many dislikes for this OPINION of mine.

Freedom - I had PILES as a pioneer, and I would overstated my number monthly.
6 mags would turn into 16 placed:)
20 would turn into 40.
Then as a regular pub I would always say I placed at least 10 though for years I avoided D2D
You know as an Elder you gotta set the example :) -

Flood over everest
by road to nowhere inmeeting part comment on how the flood covered everest.
that is even more ignorant than mountains being pushed up and eroding in a few thousand years.
and it wasnt cold either.. i should have commented on the bristlecone in the awake that survived the flood.

Just FWI - one of the 100 things that make the "water canopy" posed by the WT utterly stupid and impossible is this:
Ask who thinks there was one this question. So how much do you think it rained? No no one is gonna say like 30 ft, or 50ft. They are gonna go pretty high. Just say for giggles they say 500ft.
Remind them if that was the case. Atmospheric pressure a at sea level would be like you were living 500ft under the sea. Any thing living on the ground, like all mammals, would have been crushed by that type of pressure. So the nice snake that Eve talked to, could not have existed then. Nor any bears or lions that Adam snuggled with.
Also not one bird could have lived or flown.
Now if they say, like what I have usually heard, "maybe a mile of water" well that makes the argument for a canopy even sillier.
There are many simple irrefutable common sense arguments against the flood without getting to technical.

TOTAL BULSHIT.
No real list would have a magazine that is not only given away, but usually forced on people or left at laundromats.More than 50 million copies are sold in a month in major countries of the world

Will God resurrect our beloved pets? What do you think?
by Pallbearer inthe watchtower doesn't hold out any hope for us ever seeing our beloved animals again.
i find it very difficult to believe that god -- a god of love -- would refuse to resurrect an animal that we had become so attached to.
over the years i have bonded with no less than four (4) dogs, all of which were/are like family to me.
