thanks petra and atlantis for sending the latest letter regarding the watchtowers plan for a worldwide campaign in november this year.

i am wondering what they are planning to achieve from this campaign, particularly their focus on sending the watchtower 2020 no.

2, titled "what is god's kingdom" to politicians, governments (and tribal leaders) around the world.. it would appear that this is their answer to governments who have put them in the spot light for their bad policies, particularly their handling of child abuse.

TIME FOR ACTION! The world needs better rulers and a better form of government. And that is what our Creator has promised! God has set up a Kingdom, or government, that will replace all human rule, and “it alone will stand forever.” (Daniel 2:44) This is the Kingdom for which millions have been praying. (Matthew 6:9, 10)...

This message in printed form and instructions to distribute to government officials is proof that the leaders of the Watchtower are just as indoctrinated as the rank and file. They really believe that the "Deity" Jehovah did set up a Kingdom in 1914 and we are in the last of the last days.

This explains why they do all the crazy things that they do that make absolutely no sense. They really believe with all their heart, mind, and soul, that they "Are The Chosen Ones" and the Great Tribulation is just about to start.

In another 5 years more rank and file will wake up, and more old true believers will die off. Leaving the Organization even smaller and weaker than today.

during covid-19 crisis our hall decides to double the amount sent to hq from our local account.

the resolution is unanimously supported, no questions asked.

When you said the elders approached the family with the ‘dire’ situation and asked if they could contribute a little more..I wonder what the criteria was that they were approached?

I think the criteria in this case is that my relative is one of those persons that wants to do the right thing;

"In the eyes of Jehovah"

In other words, they are using his Belief in God and his sincerity on doing the right thing----against him, to guilt him into donating.

I asked him if he thought it would be fair to me to use his credit card to donate considering that I am helping the family financially to pay the rent and buy groceries.

He agreed it would not be fair to take my money because he was in need and then use his credit card to donate to the kingdom hall which had been closed since March.

So he called one of the elders and explained to him that it wouldn't be fair considering that I was paying their rent and buying them groceries.

He said they told him;

"Well, that's between you and Jehovah. We all have to answer to him if we support or don't support "His" organization.

He told them; ----"I understand"

I think they realized that everyone will have internet access and just having a basic website would only get people online and then they would start looking around more.

I think the Zoom meetings give them greater psychological control - they can analyse eye movement, vocabulary, willingness to engage.

Anna, who in the Kingdom Hall is going to do this?-----------The Elders?

Most of the elders barely finished High School. They don't know anything about psychological control. Analyzing eye movement would probably be considered demonic by most JWs. And Vocabulary willingness to engage is just considered "spiritually weak"

The Watchtower is going online because they have no choice. The world changed right before their eyes and there was nothing they could do to stop the change except to jump on the band wagon or just become obsolete more quickly.

The real question now is - when will Kamala Harris announce her running mate?

Kamala has already said on live TV that "WHEN" she becomes President, she will give Congress 100 days to form laws that will confiscate guns in the entire USA.

If after 100 days Congress fails to do so, then Kamala said she will "TAKE EXECUTIVE ACTION" (Which only a United States President has such power") -

TO CONFISCATE ALL GUNS FROM ALL THE CITIZENS IN THE USA.

Kamala doesn't need a running mate----she wants to be a DICTATOR WITH ABSOLUTE POWER.

I know one of my jw relatives told me that the elders approached the family and told them the dire situation they were in and asked if they would be able to donate a little more than the usual?

My relative told the elders;

"How can we, I lost my job?"

The elder suggested;

"You can use your credit card!"

I bet JWs would be willing to donate more to keep the situation as it is now - not physically going to meetings, no door-to-door, etc.

But isn't that the same as paying to be in a Paradise Earth!!!!

When he told his dad what had happened, he said that Sammy wasn't ever going back to the KH if that how they treated young boy's for being curious, his son would have nothing to do with it! And Sammy never again walked into a KH! When his sister found out what had happened, she refused to ever go again as well!!

That's the best story I've ever heard!

Was Sin Inevitable?

i was wondering about this question and wanted to ask: was sin inevitable?

also, i had thought about past watchtower articles or publications related to this topic and did some research and found this from our readers ask if adam was perfect, how was it possible for him to sin?.

well, then, did god create adam with a moral weakness, so that he lacked the ability to make sound decisions or to withstand temptation?

The Gospels may be stories like our Jewish myths that are meant to teach lessons, not report on history. Too many people might have lost the point of the Gospels and attribute to Jesus the wrong things. That would be a shame.
