the non-jw pointed out that wwi cant have had anything to do with satan supposedly being "cast out of heaven" because wwi was already well under way in oct 1914.. the jw proceeds to explain that satan was actually thrown down to the earth in 1915 and that he started to wreak havock on the earth from heaven knowing he was about to be cast out.. so 1914 is officially old light now?

does anyone have a source for that or was this brother lying through his teeth?.

Growing up in this cult if someone would have said one day JWs will be standing next to a cart playing video games and counting time while the GB has its own TV channel doing a weekly TV show I would have said never going to happen.

Someone said the other day that in 3 years the JW's Religion will cease to exist.

Upcoming Neutrality Talk Oct 26, 2020

thanks petra and atlantis for providing the latest announcements from the watchtower.. they are telling congregations to replace the 15 minute local needs talk in the midweek meeting of october 26th with a talk on neutrality.

i am not sure if this is due to there being a usa election on tues 3rd, november or because of their worldwide preaching campaign targeting government officials.

it does sound like it is due to the usa election due to comments about propaganda and political promises.

This whole letter campaign has the potential to be politically dangerous for them as the magazine they are sending says their Government will be destroyed.

JWs with all their Armageddon Rhetoric to government officials pose no threat whatsoever. They are not viewed as some radical group like antifa, wearing black, with masks on, and waving torches and inciting riots.

JWs are known as a fringed religious group of timid people, that consist mostly of women - and men who are clean shaven, and wearing 60s suits, who have been preaching the Armageddon for the past 140 years.

They and their messages are inconsequential.

This message to officials will come and go just like all their warning messages for the past 140 years have come and gone.

And then they will boast in coming magazines and conventions for years to come on how brave they were to warn government officials around the world.

does anybody know what this message will contain ?

is it designed to provoke a response that will bring persecution on the religion ?

or is it just going to be some meaningless weak campaign to get the rank and file all excited about it and achieving nothing.. or is it going to suggest to the government officials that this mob could very well be the next jonestown /wacol incident and we need to act now.

The GB is not stupid enough to disrupt their peaceful accommodations in their compound.

What would Tony do with his stored supply of Macallan Whiskey if persecution started in the United States.

Plus, if I was a High Ranking Politician that was approached by a couple of individuals that handed me a tract stating the Jehovah is about to destroy all the governments in the world----I would just call security or perhaps EMS services to escort these poor souls to a medical facility for the needed help.

Then I would get back to business.

She lacks any reasoning ability and doesn't care. How could someone be smart in alot of areas be so mentally lacking in this area.

It's not really about lacking reasoning ability or "Smarts", It's about the level of indoctrination that your wife is in.

What you could do is "Pull the Headship Doctrine Card" and call it a Royal flush.

Is "Active Publishers" a new concept?

i just saw the congregation analysis report for 2020, a form i have not noticed before.

it asks for the number of "active publishers.

" this is a term i have not seen specified before.

I was wondering why they hadn't done this a few years back. I knew it would only be a matter of time since the Organization is going through a drain. The only thing that surprises me is that they still hold on to the six consecutive months instead of changing it to 12 consecutive months for a member to become officially inactive.

All they are doing now is trying to evade the inevitable for as long as possible.

It's what I would do if my business was going sour!

Why do some politicians close down businesses but others politicians keep them open.

what was confusing at first when this pandemic started, was why in some states or, in the same state but different cities, or same city but different county, or same county but different towns, some of the leaders like city council, mayor, or governor would shut down businesses in one area, but allow other businesses of the same nature to stay open.

for example, shut down a car wash in one area of town, but allow another car wash to stay open in another area of town.

the answer is very simple----corruption by the leaders.. this is why voting is not only important, but, also getting to know as much as possible who you are voting into office.
