mostly 70s and 80s music.. i love everything from elvis presley to tom jones too.

Well my girlfriend turned me on to the 60s - 70s and 80s. It's hard to believe that before I was born, there was Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye (will I be cancelled for saying his last name)
Diana Ross, Stevie wonder, The Beatles, etc.
What were girls like back then????????

This is actually a Big deal. The door to door preaching work was the main basis for believing that we were living in the LAST DAYS.
It is tied up with BLOOD GUILT according to the bible book of Ezekiel.
This will be a WAKE UP CALL for about 70% of the JWs. Those 50 and under.
There is no more basis for believing that the Great Tribulation is just around the corner. There is no urgency anymore.
It will take a couple of years before it SINKS IN. There is going to be a shitload of cognitive dissidence in the congregations. But in a few years there will be a steady exodus out of the organization.
I think the Leaders of the WT already knew this was coming.
You can only CRY WOLF so many times before they start telling you---GO TO HELL!

Would the world be a better place without religion?

think for a while what the world would be like without any religion.. no conflicts between islam and christianity.. no conflicts between different sects of christianity.
(example; jehovah’s witnesses vs catholics).

Human nature will find a way to have conflicts. Controlling personalities, greed, nationalities, race, tribes, intellectualism e. We all believe something whether we call it religious or something else.
Human nature’s primary objective is to SURVIVE. It does this by adapting to its environment. It will do whatever it takes to survive and pass on its genes.
“Humans” are hardwired to AVOID DEATH. This is natural as “REALITY” without being tarnished by “Religious Ideas” -------shows without a doubt that This Is the Only Life We Get.
Nationalities, race, tribes, intellectualism, etc. will engage in war. But why?
Because today-- all tribes, nationalities, race, ect., are driven to put their life on the line because Religion has sullied their reality of Truth----which is that we only have ONE LIFE----AND THERE IS NO OTHER.
Religion today has manipulated the MINDS of humans with its promises of a second chance, an afterlife, a promise that death is not the end game.
Leaders of tribes or Politicians of nations, use this manipulation of an afterlife to convince its citizens or nations or tribes, or races, that if they fight their wars, God will reward them with an afterlife, whether in heaven, earth, or some form of reincarnation.
But now, take out the (“Second Chance, the Afterlife, the Reward after death” out of the picture)
Then with this knowledge of reality, how many citizens would obey the politicians to go fight their war if there is no Heaven? How many tribesmen would listen to the Elder tribe leader if he ordered them to a deadly war, especially if they all knew Death ended everything? I assume they would kill the Elder tribe leader first instead of putting their ONLY LIFE on the line.
To show how powerful Religious Ideas are and their effects on unnecessary death, consider, how many Jehovah Witnesses would continue to obey the Organization’s mandates if they all knew there was no such thing a resurrection into a paradise earth!----ZERO! Imagine the millions of blood related deaths and broken families that would be eliminated! Imagine if Muslims found out Allah doesn’t exist. Or what would Christians do if the President gave an executive order for all young men to go fight a deadly conflict -----for GOD, and COUNTRY, if they knew there was no such thing as a heavenly life.
Yes humans would still fight and kill, but I would say that ETERNAL DEATH IS A VERY STRONG MOTIVATOR To avoid conflict to begin with.
"Religion is the opium of the people" meaning that religions offer a better alternative to our current life.
The only problem is that the better alternative only comes AFTER WE DIE, thus paving the way for greedy, power-hungry power to convince the masses to go fight their wars.

The question is very specific------WILL THE WORLD BE A BETTER PLACE----WITHOUT RELIGION
Think for a while what the world would be like without ANY RELIGION.
No conflicts between Islam and Christianity.
No conflicts between different sects of Christianity. (example; Jehovah’s Witnesses vs Catholics)
No families being broken up because of Religious belief.
Fearful and respectful that we only have ONE LIFE TO LIVE.
For example consider what would happen to the individual who is willing to strap himself with enough C4 to blow several blocks and kill thousands of people if -------HE KNOWS THERE IS NO AFTERLIFE and NO REWARD. In other words, you only get ONE LIFE.
Do you really think he would be willing to kill himself if he knew for a fact there was no afterlife—no reward?
Reward in the afterlife is what motivates these suicide bombers.
Another point is that Morals can be taught without religion. Studies show that a child can be taught early in life that it is wrong to murder, steal, rape, etc. He can be taught to help his fellow human, to work hard for a living, to contribute to society, etc. Religion is not needed to teach these things.
No religion--- offers protection from Con people willing to take advantage of gullible people. For Example; the Watchtower takes advantage of religious - ignorant people, in order to profit from their ignorance. Promising them everlasting life in a paradise earth if they summit to 8 self appointed men.
How many of the 8 million Jehovah’s witnesses would obey the Governing Body if none of them believed the Bible was GOD’S WORD?----------ZERO!
Also; No religion MEANS NO PROTECTION FOR HYPOCRISY.
How many times have you seen some person commit some great atrocity against humanity only to be assured by some religious person that, GOD FORGIVES, NO MATTER IF YOU EXTERMINATED THOUSANDS. ----Think of the bible example MANASSEH.
Opponets will make their argument that if there was no religion, then we would not have the Renaissance masterpieces produced by Catholic artists like Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael or Christian sacred music by composers like Pachelbel, Vivaldi, Bach, Handel, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Liszt, and Verdi.
Also others say that the Church has been a major source of social services like schooling and medical care; an inspiration for art, culture and philosophy; and an influential player in politics and religion. And in various ways religion has sought to affect Western attitudes towards vice and virtue.
But that type of reasoning is mute, because how do we know that had religion been removed early on, humanity MIGHT HAVE PROGRESSED BETTER THAN WHAT WE HAVE TODAY---- AND QUICKER.
Yes we would still have fights, famine, murder and more, but I believe that when EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS THAT WE ONLY HAVE ONE LIFE and NO SECOND CHANCE-----WE TEND TO BE MORE RESPECTFUL OF ONE ANOTHER.
We treasure life a lot more.
AND THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE.

I don’t like the public service announcement/pep talks I’m hearing! They’re telling people that even if they’re vaccinated they should still mask and socially distance because of ‘variants spreading’, etc. have long felt that with this very massive vaccine campaign..this should at least greatly reduce or end the danger of the virus
The three Pharma companies providing the vaccine are not willing to provide the vaccine in the colder areas because they know the vaccine is not reducing Covid deaths in cold areas.. They are only providing the vaccine in places where it is warming up. The reason is because the Flu virus normally subsides in the spring and summer and starts wrecking havoc as the days get colder.
Covid deaths are subsiding because the weather is getting warmer.
Also the vaccine does not prevent Covid just like the flu shot does not prevent the flu. All the vaccine does is lessens the blow of Covid. For the elderly and those with some type of Comorbidity, then the vaccine might be a way to lessen the blow for such a person so as to continue living for another year or two. If the Comorbidity is bad, like cancer, then the person will die and they will list the cause of death as the Covid virus.
Right now there is different opinions by experts on how long the vaccine is good for. Some say it is only good for 8 months, others say it can last for years if you are young and strong with no underline health conditions.
Well excuse me, because without the vaccine a young healthy person can live till his 90s without the vaccine.

dont take too much notice what i wrote before--i was just stirring the pot.
I know Stan, that's why I continued to stir the pot even further by adding evolution and God to the brew. Either believers in evolution would try to correct me or believers in God would try to condemn me.
But it didn't work.
