  The choice of being alone has never been clearer.

  something i've noticed is that marriage was the thing for those born before 2010. but today's culture of divorce laws slanted to favor women has forced men to think carefully before signing the marriage certificate.

  most of my friends have no intentions of getting married.

  all of them have gotten vasectomies, so there is no chance of being blamed for a pregnancy.

  ive been married 4 times--so far !

  You know in one of my calls to replace a toilet, the owner was 103 years old and his wife was 70ish. I asked how long they had been married. I was thinking he was going to say something like 50 plus years. But instead he had only been married 7 years. WTF! That means he was around 96 when he tied the knot.

  So I asked him if he was married before? He said yes. I asked him how long was he married before this one. He said 4 years. WTF!

  Come to find out he had been married 11 times over his life.

  I asked him if marriage was the key to living longer and being happy?

  He said NO!

  He said that if that was the case, the majority of people that are married would be living over 100 years of age which is NOT THE CASE.

  He said the key to living LONG and HAPPY is learning to be happy with yourself and not needing anyone or anything to make you happy.

  So I asked him; then why did you marry so many times??

  He said; "Well basically because I like Blonds, Redheads, Brunnetts, -----and he kept on going.

  He told me; "When your girl leaves you-----just get another one!!!!

  Over population

  so i see some very counter intuitive videos on how there is no over population issue.

  that the world will grow to about 11 billion and stop.

  well that would be the first time in human history that population just stopped.

  Then, something major like major war, tsunami, pandemic, etc will happen and it will wipe out a few million people (Population control).

  Something interesting came out on the local news yesterday.

  The Covid pandemic has killed about 3 MILLION PEOPLE WORLD WIDE IN ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF

  IN JUST 8 DAYS------OVER 3 MILLION BABIES WERE BORN- MAKING UP FOR THOSE THAT DIED.
  

  IN 16 DAYS, DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THAT DIED------WERE BORN.

  140-150 MILLION PEOPLE ARE BORN EACH YEAR------COVID ONLY KILLED 3 MILLION.

  Its really insane how close we all are to going to the store and having little on the shelf. Covid should have woken people up but as we see in the monetary policy after the crash nothing was learned and we are now doing the same shit that caused the housing bubble in 08 to pop. My wife works in loan banking and she said she is seeing the same sketchy crap that was going on in the pre crash times. My broker said the traunches and other things that caused the bubble are back. People don't learn.

  I actually think about this a lot. I personally feel shit is going to hit the fan at some point. I remember when Covid first started and I went to the local Sam's 'Club, all the shelves were empty. I drove quickly to Walmart and all the shelves were empty. It took a couple of months before you saw a steak in the meat section and they were limited.

  I try stock up on can food, but even those have limited life. I could stock steaks by the hundreds in several freezers but what happens if electricity is shut down??? All the steaks go bad in a matter of days,

  We are living on a razor's edge, there is no doubt.

  That was a pretty good summary of human history and the relationships between men and women. It kind of saddens me though. We've had to learn through trial and error. And we're still not there.

  Maybe someday we'll figure out how to treat one another.

  For now it seems like a crap-shoot. Some hit the jackpot and find a good marriage mate and others find HELL.
