My JW uncle said a bad word!
by pistolpete inyep, i never heard him use profanity------ever.. a couple of us were invited to lunch, which in my case never happened before covid because i never got baptized.. but now i’m being invited by most of my jw family to family cookouts.
and we never talk about kingdom stuff.
they always ask questions about politics.

But this time, Somehow the conversation about Noah got started. And my Uncle asked me if I ever wondered how Noah got the elephants into the ark?
Not thinking--- I jokingly said; “Forget that, how did Noah fit 64 million animals into a wooden Ark that was only 1,400,000–1,500,0000 Cubic feet?
My Uncle gives me this strange look;
I knew I had blown it. I guess the shunning was back in place.
But to my Surprise my Uncle asks; “What do you mean?”
My other relatives also asked, what exactly I mean by 64 million animals?
I told them that they have counted about 8 million different species.
Who Counted them, they ask?
I said; “They’ve been counting different species for a while. There are so many that the number keeps increasing every few years.
So we went inside and turned on the computer. We looked at the Insight Book and it told us how big the ark was. We compared with what other articles like this one said, and I was vindicated.

Every one of my jw relatives thought Noah only took two of each kind of animal. So the were trying to Mathematically squeeze 8 million animals into an ark that was only 1.5 million cubic feet. Which was kind of funny.
But I pointed out that it was more than 8 million animals that went into the ark.
HUH!
So we looked up the Genesis account and it is said that;
Noah was told to take in 7 pairs of Clean animals and 1 pair of Unclean.
What’s interesting is all of them thought it was 2 of each animals. Raised in the WT organization and they never noticed that it was 7 pairs of Clean animals which makes a huge difference if you have 8 million different species.
But Give or take 1.3 million----- There is actually more, they just haven’t counted them.
So for simplicity say Half Clean and Half Unclean and according to this article about 8 million different species. (I know there is other estimates)

I didn't bring up salt water animals in the oceans and Fresh water animals in the lakes or plants that needed to be brought in because most would die under water for a year. That would just be too much for them!
So we started doing math.
4 million x 7pairs equals 56 million individual animals
4 million x 1 pair equals 8 million individual animals
Total equals 64 million individual animals Noah had to squeeze into the ark, that was only 1.5 million cubic feet, within 7 days.
About 9 million plus animals A DAY that Noah and his family had to squeeze into ark
About 6 thousand plus animals A MINUTE--NON-STOP- that Noah and his family had to squeeze into the ark
If I did my math correctly.
Doesn’t include all the food FOR 64 MILLION ANIMALS FOR A ENTIRE YEAR with no refrigerator to keep the vegetation from spoiling.
One of my Aunts saw the impossibility and said; “But Jesus reference the Flood”
Everyone kept quiet, scratching their head.
Finally my Uncle speaks out and says;
We’re Fucked!
Everyone starts going-------OH MY GOD----OH MY GOD----- YOU SAID A BAD WORD!

I know about 90 percent of my family is NEVER GOING BACK.
Even if ARMAGEDDON is coming in the next 12 months.
I noticed that the FEAR IS GONE.
My family is not afraid of the Governing Body anymore. And they don't respect the elders anymore.
The Pandemic has debunked the GB and Elders of their power.
And the TASTED FREEDOM, of what it FEELS LIKE to stay home on Saturdays and Sundays is just to much to GIVE UP and go back to the drudgery of meetings and Field Service.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens when they open up the Kingdom Halls-----if they open them up-----because they might not.

AM---Note that your risk may differ. The overall death rate from COVID is 0.07% or 700 deaths per million, but the majority of this (50%) are people over 80 and it is a bell curve from there. So the further you are removed from 80, the smaller the risk. If you graph it out, the cutover point where you become at equal or greater risk is ~57 years old. Then you can take in extra measures like BMI, current health conditions and that will adjust your risk so you really can’t do a single point analysis, which is what our politicians like to do - if you’re age x, do this. Do a proper multivariabele analysis on the data at the very least to measure your particular risk.

Within the age group of 0-18, the total number of deaths from COVID was < 300 for the entire 2 years we had this disease, the majority of those were already immunocompromised (eg. cancer, transplant patients, HIV etc). The VAERS reports of myocarditis and pericarditis which can lead to sudden and premature death currently stand at >1000 in the US. In Israel, one of the most vaccinated countries, they have 6000 cases amongst their young people. That is an often permanent heart disease to fight against a disease you would otherwise not die from at all. Extrapolating the current data, the COVID vaccines will kill as much or more young people than they save. Again, not talking about the elderly, not talking about high risk groups. Healthy, young people

it’s a bizarre situation when an ordinary google search lists page after page of media proclamations that Ivermectin is a “fake cure” for Covid19, whereas a google scholar search lists pages of results in academic journals indicating Ivermectin is a safe and effective treatment for Covid19.
That's because "Ordinary" google "SEARCHERS" ----TRUST THESE GUYS -----MORE---than pages of academic journals.

But what about someone who is in their late forties, a little on the tubby side but otherwise healthy and married to a medical worker. Should this person be vaccinated? And so on up and down the line of that "grey area" section of the population. At what point are we willing not to take the risk?
See that is a good point! And that is the reason why I never gave my opinion to my relatives on whether they should take or refrain from taking the vaccine.
You said "Late" forties, but I say once you hit late 30s, it's possible your body has changed significantly. We have to accept that once you leave your 20s, you are not the same person health wise. I hate to say this but our bodies start breaking down once we hit the 30s. Gray hair starts appearing in some at about 32 years of age. Why? Because that is a sign that pigmentation in hair is breaking down. Other people are healthier and don't get grey hair till their 70s.
And that's the problem. We as humans are all different. We all have differing weaknesses in different parts of our body. That why some people die in their 50s of cancer, or get alzheimer's disease and lose it mentally at a young age.
No one has the ability to look into their own brain, heart, kidneys, arteries, liver, and so on. We can get a yearly medical checkup but the doctors can't catch everything with a lab test, blood work or x-rays.
So it comes down to this.
Each person has the right to DECIDE WHAT THEY WILL DO.
TAKE THE VACCINE OR NOT TAKE THE VACCINE.
DO THE RESEARCH AND CHOOSE.
YOUR BODY---YOUR CHOICE.
But GOVERNMENT SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO FORCE ANYONE, ESPECIALLY IN A SITUATION LIKE THE ONE WE ARE FACING WITH COVID.
