Um, shouldn’t the elders be calling the cops?
According to the Elder's book update----NO!
new information added to the "shepherd the flock elder's book" .
they have updated their policy on viewing child pornography.. from a congregation standpoint it is not viewed as child sex abuse and is something that should not be automatically handled by a judicial committee.
it states that a person viewing child pornography should be strongly counseled.

The rules that have the least amount of punishment, are the rules that the people at the top break the most.
They need it to be a slap on the wrist, and not a big deal, so “when” they and their cohorts get caught, it’s still ok, according to the rules they make, and the masses follow.
When you have to push your better morals to the side, to make their bad morals ok, you belong to the wrong organization.
Any elders that can verify this?
i was in the cult for years about 40. fourth gen born in cult member or for me ex cult member.
i have seen so many cult members who don't seem to really care if the end is near or not.
they are much more concerned with the idea that this is their social network and they need and or want it just the way it is.
I would say that - that only applies to a certain "Age" group of jws. The young born in jws today under the age of 18 can't wait till they turn 18 to leave the religion. They know the truth about 607, 1914, sex scandals. In other words they know the WT organization is a religious cult and not God's true channel.
The Jws that are still in regardless of all the flip flops are in my opinion TRUE BELIEVERS.
I'm just not sure at what age they begin.
I would venture to say the True Believers start at age 50-90. Sunk Cost fallacy. In other words, they already put too much time into the religion so it wouldn't make sense to leave now when their life has already been used up in the religion.
In other words-----there still a one in a million chance.
this magazine says it all!.
and many of the older jws believed at one point in their life that they would make it through the great tribulation and into the 1000 year reign of christ without dying.
which is why so many jws stayed in so long.. is the main reason why jws ignore all the child abuse, the end of door to door service, and the closing of kingdom hall for almost two years----because they still believe they will not die?.
The oldest jw true believer relative that I still have is going to be 90 in two years. He finally had to get a cane to walk because his hip is giving out.
He was born in and has been an elder for years. But he recently stepped down and doesn't plan to ever go out in field service if it resumes again in the future.
He has seen it all;
(1975, switching from President to Governing Body, introduction of the elder arrangement, the internet, the expose of all the child sex abuse in the organization, the closing of the kingdom Halls and the end of the door to door field service for almost two years, and the Overlapping generation,)
And yet just this past weekend I sat down with him and he gave me this 20 minute speech, that Proved that HE WOULD NOT DIE.
He discarded all the mistakes the Organization has made in his lifetime and is thoroughly CONVINCED that Jehovah will not allow him to die, but will usher him into the Paradise earth without tasting death.
It doesn't matter what the organization does wrong---in his mind---HE IS NOT GOING TO DIE.
It's exactly as StephaneLaliberte posted in his comment;
I was completely disconnected from everyone even though I lived with everyone. I was the perfect product of JW's indoctrination.
And yes LHG-----The promise of EVERLASTING LIFE, is what keeps them trapped in that organization. It's also what keeps them living in poverty for the most part. At least those who truly believe that they must sacrifice everything like a nice job and retirement.

the main reason most got the vaccine was to protect others.
now they’re being told they can spread it just as easily as the unvaccinated.

YEP!!Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) was prescribed in most red states if pharmacies would fill orders and not following the CDC rules.
It was also used by Dem politicians in blue states but banned from the sheeple.

Could this guy be suggesting more shutdowns and lockdowns?
imagine a vaccination so safe you need to be threatened or coerced into taking it for a disease so deadly that you need to take a test to know if you have it.
According to a local medical center, the Amish community in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania has achieved what no other community has been able to do – herd immunity zero vaccinated. Fewer than 6 per cent of people in Africa are vaccinated. For months, the WHO has described Africa as "one of the least affected regions in the world" in its weekly pandemic reports.❓
a friend says the wt gives a substantial sum to retiring cos. he says one bought land and built near him, a desirable rural area.

PZ your,
Are a good person
i'm dealing right now with veru extreme situations that most of us have been in this sect.. i've talk to the elders because i was smoking cigarettes and i stopped for a couple of weeks.
the reason i did that because mamy things are going on right now in my life.
i'm out, i don't attend meetings i don't want to do anything with them anymore but i live in a small community so i want to go out without giving attention to anybody.. the reason i told them what i'm doing because my wife is still one of them and other people learn of some other things i have been doing and i had to tell something for obvious reasons.. the elsers tho the haven't answer to me back in 2 weeks almost and today one of them called me to give me some information.
He said that they cannot give me now their decision because they haven't agree on anything yet. He was asking when I'm back to the country because currently I'm not there. He said we have to discuss this closely not from zoom
There's nothing you can actually do. The ball is in their court.
About the only thing you can do is prepare some sobbing, hysterical story😩 to tell the elders when you meet with them. And put some burden on them that entangles them legally if they add another burden to you.
You have to know how to word it for it to work.
