I think you have it right , I joined jws in 1963 it is a totaly different religion now ,major doctrines changed from 2013 on that make no sense ,like the sudden declaration that the faithfull slave is now made up of only the governing body, since pastor Russell time the slave has always been anointed Christians , another is the doing away with types and antitypes which basically undermines the teaching on 1914 and the teaching that there are two classes of Christians .

In knorrs time as president the organisation was the leading publisher of Bible aids ( even if their theology is way off) , as you say now we get one fresh public WT a year !

No books to place in ministry , the rush to get all on line and use tablets and smartphones etc for ministry and meetings ,and the cherry on the cake the grand media centres to produce movies to broadcast on line .in fact bro Morris said at the AGM that route calls are a waste of time .

If it was not for the shunning many would simply melt away and many would dissociate as a protest at the absurd nonsense that is presented on the jw broadcasts and in meetings..

As for kingdom halls I think they will sell off most of them and Keep a few strategically located for small circuit assemblies. The religion known as Jehovah's witnesses will become just like the original Bible students just another small insignificant group with little contact to the public .

To many of you, this idea might seem absurd, but is it?

On the surface, the Organization seems as fanatical as ever, maybe even more so.

At the top, we see a different story. They are in no hurry to get back to Kingdom Halls.

They failed to launch a special program to keep baptisms up. They have nearly killed off printing and writing of magazines.

Their sense of 'apologia' barely exists at all, in spite of the greatest challenges to their history and doctrine ever.

The direction of the Organization has never been this lazy, as an objective fact.

In regard to their on air performances, it takes no special effort to rant about adversaries. It's stereotypical behavior anyway.

Maybe they are letting things go with some intention.

Let things burn themselves out.

Selling off Kingdom Halls might be an obstacle best dealt with by inaction.

Let Zoom calcify the situation and publishers won't care anymore.

Do we need to step out of religion and into Christ

i was just thinking?

do we as people, who have been hurt by religion, need to refocus our position.

do we need to step out of an organisation, to concentrate on a relationship .

Do we need to step out of an organisation, to concentrate on a relationship .

What we need to do is recognize that our time on this earth is limited. We should love and treasure the people in our lives that we love while we still have them.

We should try to find some joy in life before our life comes to an end.

No relationship with anyone can prolong our life. It sucks, but that has been our lot as humans for who knows how long.

There are two journeys

One was filled with danger, death, and despair

The other, adventure and wonder

I was on the latter, and I loved it

I didn’t know enough to know they would collide

I didn’t know enough to know how cruel and uncaring this world can be.

The world doesn’t care if you die,

it won’t listen to your screams

if you bleed on the ground, the ground will drink it, because it doesn’t care if you’re cut.

I told myself when I meet God, it will be the first thing I ask him,

Why make a world with such wonder and fill it with monsters?

Why make flowers and the snakes to hid beneath them?

What purpose does the tornado serve?

Then it hit me;

HE DIDN’T MAKE IT FOR US!

World War 3

i’m calling it folks, world war 3 looks like it’s a done deal.. belarus has entered ukraine, and nato is involved heavily, just not “boots on the ground”.. will there be a nuclear exchange?

i would have said no 5 days ago, now i’m not so sure.. how will this effect wt?

probably more of the same fear mongering..

The threat of mass extinction with only a few survivors scrounging around for food, shelter and water is very real. It's true that Russia's nuclear weaponry is outdated, but there are several studies that have shown that all it takes it ONE OUTDATED NUKE, to detonate and it will forever change that County's ability to nurture it's inhabitants.

The thing that most never take into account is the radiation fallout that can be dispersed by the wind for hundreds even thousands of miles and causing havoc to both humans and animals-------and water supply and food.

It immediately bars anyone from going in to help anyone. And all medical personal will be protected like precious Gold and they will not allow any medical personal to enter the area at the risk of losing them. In other words, every human in the location of radiation fallout is doomed to get no help, and can only expect a slow agonizing death.

I just had a jw acquaintance tell me not to worry because Jehovah's Kingdom will step in right before everyone launches the Nukes. The Circuit Overseer has 'ASSURED' them, that Putin will not launch the nukes.

there's been a lot of talk among jws, that this is it with russia (king of the north) pushing and shoving against the (king of the south usa).

but look at the world map below on the link, and notice that usa is in the northern hemisphere.. meaning the king of the south must be none other than -----------argentina .

that's so funny that jws still can't figure it out that they are being conned to the max.

Honestly, it's a difficult thing to wake up a JW. All I can say is you have to tread carefully, be extremely smart, not allow emotion to take over, and be very patient. (like disarming a bomb with a hundred wires)

so a quick little note about a few things that i recently learned.

if you ever had the yellow book of bible stories, there was the story of enoch, also repeated in other watchtower publications, about the angels fathering giants and being a menace on earth.

now if you look at the nicean bible, which is the wtbts selection of the bible, it mentions enoch twice and only has a very brief passage about nephilim and ben elohim.
