You know, the doorbell is not some kind of "god" that MUST be appeased by responding to it. It really isn't. I can always just refuse to respond.

You know, I thought my family and I were the only ones who believed this.

We have a huge bay window that oversees the front gate, plus a camera system. And when someone comes ringing the doorbell on the main gate, if it's not family, or friend, we just don't respond. We refuse to disable the door/gate/bell because it's entertaining to see all the weird people coming to our front gate.

On top of that, it's entertaining when we open the main gate remotely, and they have to walk about 80 yards to our other gate that surrounds the home. Sometime they just walk back slowly and never make it to the gate surrounding the house.

I wonder if it's the small sign that scares them away

this is so eerily similar to the whitewashing and revisionist history practices by the governing body that it’s downright scary.

in reality it’s far, far worse as the powers behind the current practices have real power and influence.

Censorship is counterproductive. Understanding is important. Understanding is the key to resolution. When both sides hear each other out for the purpose of understanding, not to make an argument, then resolution is possible.

This is why it is so important that this lawsuit against High Tech goes all the way to the Supreme Court and Wins. We need to stop Censorship.

At the moment we still have no idea if the vaccines has some time - release effects that will unleash some shit that hits the fan for those that took the vaccine. Just like Thalidomide was a widely used drug in the late 1950s and early 1960s for the treatment of nausea in pregnant women. Then it became apparent in the 1960s that thalidomide treatment resulted in severe birth defects in thousands of children.Only time will tell.

I hope not because about half of my family took the vaccine- mostly the elderly, the other half refused to take it. None of my workers took it and all of us got covid but were only mildly discomfort for a day.

I ask myself if I would have taken the vaccine if I was 60 and up. I probably would have taken it because of the fact that Social media and the News Media would have WITHHELD IMPORTANT INFORMATION NEEDED FOR ME TO MAKE A EDUCATED DECISION.

AND THAT'S THE THE PROBLEM WITH CENSORSHIP!

I wonder how many of us who took the vaccine, would have taken the vaccine if we had waited just another year as this information about the vaccine started leaking out into the public.

I bet the number would be less.

i’m seeing my hard core believing relatives slowly losing faith that the watchtower is the organization that “god” is using to represent him on earth.. just about all the churches in their area have opened up.. but not the watchtower.. this is having an affect on the faith of even the old timers.

now the only ones who are still holding the faith are the female jws and only those past 70 years of age.

even my old male jw relative past 70 are starting to say that it can’t be jehovah’s organization because the other churches are all open and god supposed organization who is supposed to preach the warning message is still closed with no open in sight.

They will eventually go on-line only no doubt. But will achieve it slowly, and stealthily, and it will all be a " Blessing from Jehovah" !

I think this or something like this will be their strategy.I don't believe they will just spout out that all kingdom hall meetings will cease.

The reason is because that's not how the Watchtower works. For example, they knew a long time beforehand that the "Teaching" of the generation would not die-----would somehow have to be discarded. Did they spout it out immediately. NO! Instead they Slowly and patiently started giving hints that the Generation Jesus talked about "COULD POSSIBLY MEAN SOMETHING ELSE"

After years, then finally, the OVERLAPPING GENERATION WAS INTRODUCE.

So I'm sure that eventually Kingdom Halls will be open, they will encourage the member to attend, but little by little they will continue to sell off Kingdom Halls, until eventually they decide to drop the ball and say;

NEW LIGHT; Jehovah is directing the organization to go ON-LINE. Friends, the reason we have come to this conclusion------Blah-Blah-Blah-Blah.

By this time the membership WORLD WIDE will have shrunk to a couple of million. Mostly brain dead individuals.

he 80+ year old I talked about never had children, I assume because of believing all the JW hype thru the years and 10 years ago his pioneer wife was killed in a car crash by a drunk driver.

That is a very sad story. What can a 80 year old do at that point to alleviate the pain, considering they have no children to offer support.

That's why I always give special consideration to the elderly when I run into them. I imagine it's no fun getting old. And at that point you know that they've experience some terrible loss, ------like losing parents, children or their Soul Mate.

Last week a 80 y/o single sister in our hall was disfellowshipped...she's on oxygen, and most of her care and support comes from the congregation

That's truly sad.

What's sick is how Fuc*ed up the disfellowshipping practice really is. It doesn't matter if you are 80 years old or a 15 year old kid. If you get disfellowshipped, all your support system is taken away. It doesn't matter if it is your parents, husband, wife, or children who disowned you.

They twist it by saying; ' THIS IS WHAT JEHOVAH WANTS"

I sensed he was not sincere, but he was lost without a place to go physically. I bet there are thousands of older JW,s who feel the same way

It affects the elderly because they were taught NOT to have kids because paradise was just around the corner and if they waited, Jah would bless them with PERFECT KIDS.

Same with JW women. Don't marry NOW, Pioneer instead and Jah will provide a PERFECT HUSBAND in the New Order just right around the corner.

Now 30-40 years have passed and they find themselves all alone with no family. Or perhaps their children got disfellowshipped and the parents shunned them for 40 years.

The Watchtower is a sick piece of shit to put these people in such a situation

What happened to all those BRAVE HEROS JWS who would travel through crocodile infested waters just to attend a WT convention?

I remember when I was little, one of my uncles told me that the director of the James Bond movie got one of his ideas from a Jehovah Witnesses who jumped on top of crocodiles to make it across a river and to the Convention.

Our Local Needs talk was about being thankful that we have the Zoom meetings...which to me was them saying "Nope, we're still not going back to Kingdom Halls"...

Heck if I was a jw, and hadn't had meetings and field service going on two years--- I WOULD BE VERY THANKFUL FOR ZOOM.

You know something interesting is that my old jw relatives have kind of transformed into nice people.

Before they would ignore me because I was never baptized. But now when they see me they go out of their way to say hi, they invite me to sit down and chat. They ask me about my business and how is it working. They ask how are things out there in the real world. They ask about my family and tell me that I should bring them over for a meal.

And they NEVER bring up the Last Days Crap anymore. They want to talk about normal things like what kind of sports I like, what scary movie do I recommend, how many guns do I have, does it take a long time to learn how to shoot one. WTF----these are old 70 plus jw believers.

Do you thing they realize that the Last Days is just that-------------CRAP
