  Question: Is the Organization involved with the Cabal? When extraterrestrials become publicly recognized, will you announce it as "new light," too, or will you simply call them demons?

  Fading tactic that worked well for me

  if you read some of my past posts you’ll know that i’ve successfully faded while being able to keep contact with my immediate family, who are still very devout jws.

  when i did finally completely stop attending meetings, my family, and especially my parents (elder father and pioneer mom), were of course very interested to know the reasons why.

  at first i deflected their questions, stating that i had personal reasons and did not want to explain myself.

  (*big thumbs up*) d(^_______^)b* Hope my attempts with my relatives will one day be as successful as that. It's hard not to raise your voice and cry with frustration when explaining why you want to stop being a Witness (especially if you also don't want to be religious in general).

  Un-****ing-Believable

  just a few observations from this morning.

  .. this morning as i was trying to choke back the bile that kept wanting to come up during the wt study one comment in particular screamed cult.. towards the very end as comments were being made about "counseling" others with "gracious" words one of the uber-dub minstral-serpents made this comment, "we see in the last image that the brother is holding a bible as he counsels the other brother.

  we look closely at the picture and we can know exactly what he is counseling the brother about.

  Currently at the meeting with my phone under my Watchtower magazine. I was getting drowsy, decided to check the forums, and now I'm super awake to hear if anyone will comment about the picture at the end, too! XDDD*

  I need to equip myself with Psalms 119:165 the next time Mom (or anyone) tries hitting me with critiques. Counterattack right back at ya!

  Assemblies - Before and After Waking Up

  happy friday to all!.

  i haven't been to a meeting for maybe 10 years.

  i only know what's happening nowadays from the experiences i read here or the internet in general.. anyway, on to the topic: i started attending meetings at the age of 7. as a kid, the only thing i looked forward to at the assemblies (circuit/district) was walking around veteran's stadium (philadelphia district convention) during intermission, hanging with friends, looking at girls (as i got a little older) and trying to have enough tickets to get pizza!.

  MarkofCane Same here! I try to either read Game of Thrones or Harry Potter during the assemblies and meetings until Mom notices, then I cover my phone with the Watchtower magazine or Bible and peek-read my preferred literature that way, hahaha.

  baker My sister and I stopped clapping for anything and just give each other looks of relief when the assembly or meeting is over. Sometimes we'd make faces during extra long prayers to break the monotony. ^_^*

  Regarding That "Tag-Line" of The X-Files

  ) but, i thought about something with regards to the new, 6-episode stint of the famous show on fox, the x-files.

  I'm a huge fan of The X-Files, and I can easily imagine the final image of the opening of the show changed with the phrase, "TTATT Is STILL Out There."

  I can also see the poster hanging in their office wall with the phrase, "I Want To Believe," this time with a flying piece of garlic bread.

  As I read through this thread, I could only sadly think of how my very-deeply-in Mom and relatives will continue to stick it out as Witnesses while crying out, "See, the worldly governments are trying to stop us like it was foretold! The last days are truly here!"

  Wish I could throw a big box of calendars with pictures of bread at them...

  The immorality of C Russell and J Rutherford founding members of the Watchtower Organization

  something that gets little attention or not enough is the what kind of social behavioral people were the ones who started the watchtower corporation ?

  c t russell was someone who got divorced from it would appear a lack of love and attention to his wife and the supposed attention he gave to a younger woman who had lived at his home together with his wife .. j rutherford built a lavish home in sunny and warm san diego and lived with his mistress and personal assistant, separated from his wife.

  apparently hoarding and drinking alcohol as well when it was illegal by law to do so.. would either of these men qualify to be even elders in today's standards ?

  Mom would probably say, "Well, they were imperfect like King David, but they still brought us the Organization!"

  I agree, Russell and Rutherford would have definitely been elders in our time, maybe they'd be the ones condemning garlic bread in the broadcasts with much zeal, zest and zaniness. =___=;;*
