Yes they are working on a similar ‘museum’ experience in London Chelmsford branch office. Paid for most by government funding and having huge fictitious expenses when it’s mostly made and run by volunteers.
At the moment the have a boring Bible display which takes a few hours to listen to through earphones. But work is underway for a Paterson style visitors centre in Chelmsford.
JWs in London are flocking to volunteer their days off work to come and give of their time and energy for free
The smart ones are following what the society does and not what they say. Further education, real estate flipping and investing in the world having vaults full of silver bullion bars, as they know there is no end coming as the say. The big wigs at Bethel know this and plan accordingly.
Many Elders and other also know the GB are lying and they are doing what the organisation does and ignoring what they say to do.

if you’re still on the fence, here is a story.. my grandmother, now in her 80s hasn’t talked to anyone in the family for over 20 years ever since my mother was the last one of her children that left ‘the truth’, she had sent my mother a card to never talk to her again.
so here we are 21 years later, she gets a call out of the blue that she needed help, she hadn’t been able to get into her kitchen.
They will be burden if they didn’t plan for retirement when they were young. Mostly a burden on the state, you eventually have to stop pushing the cart and jump in the cart for others to push
I’m sure there are scriptures talking about not being a burden on others?
this thread could be used regularly for people looking for specific quotations from watchtower literature.. right now i'm looking for a quotation which says it is the duty of clergy to point out errors in wt messages.. there is also one which says that religions which claim to offer salvation to millions should allow scrutiny..

Yes they even encourage not paying into a private pension at all. Try to opt out of it and work less hours so you don’t have to pay into it at all has been the advice for decades because you will never be old enough to need it.

Yes the new light that this guy Br Winder is talking about is a real problem. Why would Jehovah have revealed false light in the first place?
There is a good chance that this new light 2023 they claim is from Jehovah will be updated with even more new light. That means Jehovah releases false light according to them?

so, i finally saw the annual meeting video part 2.. this is the one with the “new light” on who might survive armageddon, vs. those who do not.. in summary, for those of you fortunate enough not to have to sit through it, it’s something like this:.

Yes that argument about Abraham being too stupid to not enough new light would apply to the GB both last and present.
So about 150years of Governing body being too stupid to have this new light. This is what they are actually saying at the 2023 AGM.
Its not only insulting to Abraham but it’s very insulting to the old GB members who have died in recent decades.
Their explanation why so much old light was wrong was because Jehovah thought the brother were too stupid to have the correct light first time?

A reasonable question would be was all the old light that has now been updated from Jehovah?
If there are current understandings that will be updated in the future then why did Jehovah update his people the wrong understandings?
