JWs who are now paying the price of following the cult.

my in-laws are two such people.

people who pioneered and did not work and try to save, instead they made just enough to get by and waited for the end to come.

now my mil is in palliative care and the state is paying for her keep, my fil lives in a dilapidated home and can not keep it up.

This is what happens to people when they put personal faith, trust and loyalty to lies, ignorance and delusions, they hurt themselves and maybe their own family members.
Glad I got out when I did.

1975 and the JWS is just an example how much bullshit people will accept with faithful zeal and loyalty.
I was young teenager then and I remember many JWS putting off marrying, having children, they quite school, getting out in service was more important.
I too accepted somewhat what the WTS was saying but a part me questioned it a little.
Reviewing back how the WTS came to their dating conclusion ending up to 1975, we got played, scammed, exploited and manipulated by the GB leaders of the WTS.

No person born a woman can be of the anointed, the anointed 144,000 must be virginal men only.
That's what the bible says at least, sounds like another JWS screw up if you ask me.

You have to hand to people like F Franz of the Watchtower for he was truly a prolific sensationalist with information. It should be realized he was also a key player within the writing department of the Watchtower Corporation .
The organization's top theologian at one time who also happened to be on the panel of men who were the active executive editorial writers for the Watchtower Corporation.

A lot people don't know particularly JWS that the 6000 years of mankind's existence propagated by the Watchtower was used as far back as the early 1900's, so in other words they just reworked that doctrine to keep people tentatively on edge and working.
Was this dating system even valid or achievable ?
Hardly not, it was most likely originally derived from the IBSA (C Russell) of the late 1800's , rooted in the dispensational era dating theology which was associated with Pyramidology .
Did it work ?
Unfortunately yes.
