  i am not for a religious organization demanding freedoms from the government that they in turn take away from their own members.

  why should the organization get religious freedom when they take that very thing away from it's members?.

  I agree they shouldn't have any tax benefits. They get to run a real estate empire while paying no taxes on gains. It's the craziest thing. Not to mention the members are the ones who paid for everything to begin with.

  Writing Letters Go's Against Their Teachings? Scientology has already done this!

  i'm not sure why they are writing letters for a number of reasons.

  1st, isn't god supposed to harden the hearts of world leaders?

  if this is the case, wouldn't they be going against god's plan by trying to soften the hearts of one of the leaders?

  2nd. They are supposed to turn on false religion first THEN the WT. They should have nothing to worry about. They haven't turned on false religion yet so this case will be thrown out without the need to write letters.

  3rd. Isn't Jehovah in control? Aren't we supposed to rely on him and leave matters in his hands?

  4th. Didn't Scientology do something similar? When the IRS wanted to remove their tax exempt they had each member file a lawsuit against the IRS. While they aren't filing lawsuits, they're asking each brother to write a letter.

  5th. Trump likes Putin. Trumps son in law bought the WT properties. Jehovah allowed this?

  If only they put this much effort into protecting children.

  What have been some of the funniest local needs talks that you have heard?

  i remember once in berlin south germany there was a local needs part for the men only, and how they should use the toilet.

  in all seriousness for ten minutes a retarded nigerian was going on about how men need to sit down when using the toilet.

  no mention of anything else.. it transpired that some little kraut boy from an "interested" family would aim for the side of the toilet and leave a great big puddle for others to clean up.

  We had a local needs about how fast we drive coming down the Kingdom Hall driveway. We should only be going 5 mph! The brother then proceeded to say how he timed it and at 5 mph it should take us about 4 minutes to drive down the driveway.

  I make sure to go 6 mph now. Real BA over here.

  A brother repeated a "rumor" from the platform last night.

  i seem to remember many talks and articles in the past about repeating rumors.last night before going into the book study the conductor said something to the effect, "i heard a rumor and i don't know if it's true but the rumor is that in the future we will be using only;y videos at the door.".

  anyone else heard this "rumor"?.

  and whats up with repeating rumors from the platform?

  lol typical JW rumor. Everyone gets excited over the littlest thing.

  Just like the chairman is supposed to cause "anticipation" and "excitement" for the meeting ahead. Half the people look like they want to blow their brains out by 9 pm.

  i understand people love their family but i also don't understand why you end up caring in the end.

  i'm ready to leave and i 100% don't expecting my family to have any contact with me nor do i want them to contact me.

  if they are going to chose a man made religion over me, that's their choice and i will sleep easy at night.

  I'm ready to leave and I 100% don't expecting my family to have any contact with me nor do I want them to contact me. If they are going to chose a man made religion over me, that's their choice and I will sleep easy at night.

  When they're all old, sick, in a nursing home I'll simply walk in, ask them if it was worth wasting their whole life shunning their family members instead of enjoying the little time you get with them. I'll then remind them that in actuality, we only get one shot at this life and that I hope they are happy with how they spent there's.

  Done, end of discussion, walk out.

  I refuse to shed one tear over people letting religion affect them that badly. Nor give them the satisfaction that the DF'ing is working and that I am longing for a chance to communicate with them.
