  the actions of bill bowen over recent months have lead many to conclude that he is more interested in his organisation, silentlambs, rather than the issue of protecting and supporting the silent lambs.

  Pettygrudger & Rev Malk - Yes, Lambsroar is the sort of thing I'm talking about. I know it's early days yet for Lambsroar, so I wish it every success. I hope that survivors of abuse will benefit from it.

  Bendrr - I think Bill has forgotten about the victims, or at least, he has allowed other issues to cloud them out. Whilst his supposed goals are admirable, the victims need a place to go where they can speak out with the pressure of having their stories told to the media, or given the impression that those that speak out are more courageous than those who remain silent.

  Ozziepost - I know that the word "organisation" is a trigger word for most of us, but sometimes an organisation (as in a group of people) is needed to co-ordinate activities or to achieve goals. As for your last two questions, sadly, I think we know the answer to them.

  Plum - Yes, despite the best of intentions, some people aren't the right ones for the job.

  in any case, the following are a couple of story/experiences i heard from my zen teacher, actually he's kind of one of those people who doesn't care much about specific traditions - truth is truth and so on.

  Unevenly yoked?

  i was just musing to myself and wondering if in the history of this happy and sometimes joyous place there has been a uniting of more than minds i.e.

  a romance.. you know, where two posters become united as one.

  wouldn't it be nice to have an anniversary right here on the board.. oh well, just wondering........ cheers,.

  Nope, sorry Stephanus, they met on a personals site. Thinker has never been a JW, but he started to investigate it because of Mrs Thinker's past involvement with the WTS.

  i found the video of kylie at the sydney olympics closing ceremony when she performed dancing queen... mmmnnnnn .

  i can recommend the dvd of her live in concert too... track 20... skimpy clad kylie with 4 bikini babes pole dancing.... oh happy days

  I really don't think that was Kent's intention with this thread. He does post threads that ridicule the JWs, but in this case I don't think that is the case.

  It is a touching article, whether or not Paul Ortiz was a JW. For his young wife to left alone with their young daughter is a situation that must have been repeated many times over in this great tragedy.

  I hope Star Ortiz finds comfort and closure.

  hi all lovers of modern music,.

  i apologise for not posting this in the music forum, but i think many of you might like to know about a cd i recently bought over the internet.

  btw, this is the first time i've bought a cd over the internet, so i am a little bit excited about it all.. it's what i supposed is known as techno/dance, but it doesn't have the deadly boring thomp thomp thomp sound throughout it.

  I apologise for not posting this in the Music forum, but I think many of you might like to know about a CD I recently bought over the internet. BTW, this is the first time I've bought a CD over the internet, so I am a little bit excited about it all.

  It's what I supposed is known as techno/dance, but it doesn't have the deadly boring THOMP THOMP THOMP sound throughout it. It has many catchy tracks, and even though I'm not a fan of techno/dance music myself, I really enjoyed all the tracks on this CD.
