Faith of Abraham:
Genesis 12: 1-4 The LORD has said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you intoa great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and however curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." So Abram left, as the LORD had told him.
Genesis 15: 6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.
Romans 4:13 -16 It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring recieved the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. For if those who love by law are heirs, faith has no value and the promise is worthless, because law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression. Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring - not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham.
@MP
Im sorry Abraham had little faith in God as recorded in the OT. I am going to argue at no stage did Abraham demonstrate faith that warranted such a "gift" from God.
For one thing Abraham didnt even know gods name, so there couldnt have been much of a friendship or interaction over that hundred years. The story is just propaganda and doesnt even bother to list facts, because they dont exist or its talking to us as if it were an authority and we are idiots or children.

And God went on to speak to Moses and to say to him: “I am Jehovah. And I used to appear to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty, but as respects my name Jehovah I did not make myself known to them.
Where is does the text tell us about Abrahams faith, scriptures please ? If anything i see complete lack of faith on at least three occasssions.
HE DOUBTED GOD COULD MAKE SARAHS PREGNANCY.

And God went on to say to Abraham: “As for Sar´ai your wife, you must not call her name Sar´ai, because Sarah is her name. And I will bless her and also give you a son from her; and I will bless her and she shall become nations; kings of peoples will come from her.” At this Abraham fell upon his face and began to laugh and to say in his heart: “Will a man a hundred years old have a child born, and will Sarah, yes, will a woman ninety years old give birth?”
SARAHS ABDUCTION BY PHARAOH

So it happened that, as soon as A´bram entered Egypt, the Egyptians got to see the woman, that she was very beautiful. And the princes of Phar´aoh also got to see her and they began praising her to Phar´aoh, so that the woman was taken to the house of Phar´aoh. And he treated A´bram well on her account, and he came to have sheep and cattle and asses and menservants and maidservants and she-asses and camels.
Where is Abraham's faith ? Doesnt matter god rescued Sarah in the following text. I call bullshit.
ABRAHAM DOUBTS GOD AND GIVES SARAH TO ABIMELECH
http://www.watchtower.org/e/bible/ge/chapter_020.htm
So A·bim´e·lech got up early in the morning and proceeded to call all his servants and to speak of all these things in their ears. And the men got very much afraid. Then A·bim´e·lech called Abraham and said to him: “What have you done to us, and what sin have I committed against you, in that you have brought upon me and my kingdom a great sin? Deeds that should not have been done you have done in connection with me.” And A·bim´e·lech went on to say to Abraham: “What did you have in view in that you have done this thing?” To this Abraham said: “It was because I said to myself, ‘Doubtless there is no fear of God in this place, and they will certainly kill me because of my wife.’
For the second time, even after God promised him in 17 the promised land, and the humbling of Pharaoh, Abraham again shows no faith. How does one explain this lack of faith ?
ROMANS
Im sorry the author of (its not Paul BTW) Romans is talking bullshit, i have shown on three occassions that Abraham's faith failed, in scripture. We can safely ignore the text here and conclude its wrong for ourselves.
