  after reading this article it just reminded me that koran and bible are completely backward.

  the justification for this forced marriage is found in deuteronomy 22:23-24: ' .

  if a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father.

  my folks joined the cult in 1968 if memory serves.

  i was about 5 or six when they began studying so i have heard many of the weird suppositions made and superstitions fostered by jw's.

  i read a post from a new member a moment ago and was intigued by something they said.

  are jw the most dispised religion by the public?

  i remember going to a new school, and before i said anything there were a few kids poking fun at jehovah.

  jehovah this and that .

  at no stage did i ever hear anyone mention any other god or religion in conversation or playground banter.

  my point about school was that the only religion used as to bother was jw. nobody cared about other religions. no cstholic or c of eng, muslim etc ever had their religion mention. sure kids will find stuff to bnother, that goes without saying, however it seems nobody cared zbout other religions.

  and i mean the whole bible, from start to finish.. first, the fear factor.

  many that are deeply into the bible are afraid that, if they quit or disagree with it, they are going to suffer forever (destruction or hell).

  they are also promised a major reward (life on earth forever, or heaven) if they obey.

  i called you dishonest, because you selectively pick which scriptures and stories to believe, while the bible itself says in timothy all scripture is inspired of god etc. how exactly does one know which words are genuine and which are editions? the entire jesus story could be a complete lie, exaggeration or myth making as there are many unsubstantiated events in the gospels, like the tax census to name one.

  im not denying there is some element of kindess in the relationship of naomi and ruth, but the pount is there are a lot of worrying messages in there. would you want youndaughter to do what i highlied ruth did with boaz? would you sell your daughter to a man? of course not, thus the question is why lie and say its worthwhile to read the book of ruth? i can watch similar type warm programs on tv but im not dumb enuff to say they are inspired from god or should be believed as holy from god.

  when i was in beffel, i was asked to stock check their collection of magazines, going back to their first uk prints.

  they wanted room and so asked me to throw out all but 2 copies of every magazine.

  the irony was, this was the loft space, it was huge and empty and they didnt need the room.

  1914+100 Years

  i have been reading things for a while.

  in approximately 20 months it will be the year 2014. that year will be 1914+100 years.

  i don't know how the wts is going to get around that if the "present system" is still in existence.

  do they check this site?.

  im 18 years old,baptized at 14. really my problems started a few weeks ago.

  dont lie about ctr, he learnt everything from the fds of that time. i dont know where or what they called themselves but its obvious that his insights were from them and in term straight from the apostles and jesus himself.
