  Im not saying your wrong about Rutherford publishing these ideas, im just saying Rutherfords view of the Bible and what xians today think was quite different. Its not hard to see he was aware of the Egyptian origins of the OT. We can see his homage to the Sun and stars by way of beliefs like the Pleiades and other symbology that can be found on other publications for a start.

  in egyptian mythology the evil side was dark, cold, death and chaos. light, the sun gives warmth, life and goodness. the jewish text is talking about chaos not as a person but the fight to survive against the obstacles in nature and life. life in those days was hard, crops failed, draufghts happened and so, they were all opponents or satans. they also said other evils gave disease and illness, thats how ancient man thought.

  the egyptians favoured sirius and orion, im not sure of their thoughts about the seven sisters of pleiades. however we can see rutherford like egyptian priests used the idea of some throne in a star cluster.

  man cant even predict th weather more than a few days in advance, while computers are fast today, to do the modelling required to accurately predict weeks and months we need finer sampling and a great increase in computtaion speed. we are no where near what is required to preduct way into the future, simple because tyhe small when compunded in the model has a dramatic effect the longer the simulation runs. im not saying they use floating point math, but the same errors in math due to rounding when one does a lot of floating ops, errors accumulate they dont average out.

  the more i think and learn of rutherfords opinion the more i realise he knew the real story of god in the bible. ive read a few books that talk ablut egyptian influence on both the ot and nt and one cant help'but see there are connections. i think rutherford knew that the jews were copying egyptian ideas about horus and shared some of their pyramid ideas. lyriamids are of course sun monuments, after all pyra=fire. rutherford realise the light/good/sun references in particular the jesus story are acknowledgements of this solar worship. we may not think much of solar astrotheology but its definitely a driving tgheme in the bible and rutherford was honest to'acknowledge this. most xians havemt a clue about the bible and just repeat what they have been taught without truely understanding or seeing whats right in front of them. all the admiration which they take to be spiritual or sy,bolic about god is just man praising the wonderful power and life giving light of sun. there is no vengeful god, thats either exaggerations or attempts at expalining bad luck, like david and the faminine which they blamed on taking a census.

  Who Lost The End of Mark's Gospel?

  this is a question for those who still hold a supernatural view of the bible.. it would seem to be certain that the gospel of mark was the first to be written, and that matthew and luke copied large parts of mark when compiling their gospels.. from a theological perspective the most important event in the story - the heart of the gospel or "good news" is the resurrection of jesus.

  it was this event and its implications that the disciples proclaimed.. the way that mark reports the resurrection is puzzling.

  when the sabbath was over, mary magdalene, mary the mother of james, and salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint jesus body.

  like i said to understand why the son of god was invented one must also examine the history of judea at the time during the first century. the romans were sick of the jews rebelling. the romans were sick of the spirit of rebellion the jews git from their beliefs that god will deliver them from the pagan gentiles. at the center of each rebllion we will find religious leaders. these false messiahs were a real problem simple because they kept appearing and they kept on gathering armies to fight. normally the romans didnt intefer with religion they onkyndemanded that the emperor be worshipped as a god in addition to regular service. this was simply about respect. the jews refused this and they also rebelled. to end this problem the romans thought the answer was to give a twist to judaism, to say a messiah had come and taught that the emperor must be obeyed, taxes paid, slaves remain obedie t and so on. its quite interesting that the gospels always emphasize obedience instead of freedom. however if we see the hand of rome it all makes sense. for example the story of matthew is not only about jesus being born in the home of david its an example that the messiah himselfs father paid his taxes no matter what. anyway to continue the sotry, they also had this messiah teach to be peaceful, something the jews were not. part of the story makes fun of the jees and this is why so many apostles are rebels, eg zealots, iscariot = sicarri another griup of bandits and so on. the original apocalypse told by jesus is of course the destruction of jerusalem. mark etc go into details about how titus surrounds and eventually wins the fight. josephus himself changed sides during this rebellion and recorded the campaign . if you examine jospehus writings says in his writings that titus was the messiah. titus was also the son of god, with god being his father the new emperor vespasian. remember all caesars were also gods.anyway the path jesus takes in his ministry and where he visits who he encounters also match the path of titus and his campaign. arimathea as in joseph of arimathea is just a pun on josephus family name , ben matthais. you can also see jospehus'hand in the journey of paul to rome, they both were involved in a shipwreack in the same place etc. in fact this one trip has about twenty points of similarity that are two fraky to be coincidence. anyway the story of paul persecuting jews or rebels is a perfect match for jospehus he turned traitor and joined the romans.

  its also interesting the second pope in rome, clement was a flavian or relative of vespasia n. if weunderstand the goal of the original message we can see its goal was to use religion to tell the jews god had given power to rome, and that they should obey, pay taxes wtc. some time the church decided to enhance the gospels and make jesus a godman, and therefore constructed matthew and other extensions. the bible and its contents has always been controlled by rome. xianity has always been a tool of the rich. if we examine whp benefited most from xianity there is only one reason.

  it is also no coincidence that peter went to rome. that story was just part of the justification to give power to caesar.

  Timing of "thinner magazines" announcement

  the announcement of the reduced number of pages in the watchtower & awake will be made after the watchtower study following the "special talk" on april 8.. theoretically, that's when there will be more visitors and "outsiders" than usual.

  even the talk itself has 1/2 of its content directed at inactive jws.. obviously this reduction in pages has been in the works for several weeks if not months.

  why pick that date to announce it?
