When the empire was strong, they only made millions from India, today we talk much larger numbers even after inflation.

We are all kings compared to the lords of the British empire. How many of them do you think had a fridge or hot water on tap ? none.

That highlighted paragraph is very bland, again it has no numbers to back your assertion. It memntions the 70s which others have shown was thought by some scientists to be the start of a cooling. its a little too convenient to compare against cooler years, a bit like comparing a hot summer against a winter.

Im not doubting Darwin was hot as you mention, its prolly always somewhere between hot and really hot. But without knowing how often what you describe happens or how it compares to recent years past its difficult to judge. Just because you drop the words "once in a hundred years" doesnt mean the years in question were example of that. Im sure if i went to D in the hot season i too would think it was extra hot, but without checking somewhere like the BOM, i cant honestly comment how it was before.

Dropping words and some interesting background doesnt count as proof, its just qi. comment

you might want to check how many countries the US has invaded inthe past 50 years. it might surprise you but the USA has invaded more countries than nearly the rest of the world combined. Almost none of thoese have been defensive. Just ask the people of any of those countries what they think when the US invaded and bombed their homes and killed their family just for oil or to install another corrupt leader who happened to agree with them.

Iran, Afghanisan, Gulf war 1, support for Iraq in the Iraq v Iran world, support of Israel, support of the crooked regimes in egypt etc. And thats onlhy thestart, we can go back furtehr and further away from the middle east. All of these characters use weaspons and money from the US military machine.

Or we could look a little closer to home, at Cuba, Chile, the banana republics, Oliver North etc.

Is it any harsher than the countless orphans who were killed because somebody dropped a bomb in Afghanisan ? Unfortunately war is a tough game, theres no second chances. People die often out of bad luck. There are lots of arseholes inthe US military just like other militaries. I guess its those same aresholes who also mixed with another who did the actual shooting. Its not a pure or kind environment.

The people who work for the military are parasites, they have jobs because there is strife and war somewhere other than their home. They dont seem to mind collecting their paychecks when other people get bombed.

You are right i have not provided raw numbers to say the last 3 years have been cooler. But i did try and say that the massive bushfires due to the heat and conditions that dried the land out have been absent in recent times. Sure its quite the same but i think these observations of mine are reasonably fair and you have not tried to counter them.

We all know La nina is a cycle, its hardly fair to make claims given when it appears and what happens. Im not quite sure what your exact point regarding CC and LaNina was meant to be.

Victorian Aust. Royal Comission into Child Abuse

today mon.16 sept.marks the first day of the inquiry opening to public submissions .

( i hope i have worded that right ) and i`m sure someone will tell me if i didnt, and rightly so as its an important step in this enquirey.. from today submissions are being heard from organisations that held responsibility for children in their care such as the ymca , boy scouts , girl guides , etc.etc.. apparently religous institutions will be heard at a later date.. note : this is the chance for the public to air their concerns , and from what i hear, their are thousands of submissions already on the table.. i think this will go on for at least the middle of next year if not longer.. smiddy.

The commission very much has an agenda. I wonder if they will be making criminal charges or using the info presented to start additional charges against said parties or is this just an exercise to gather info and make a report.

Thats not fair. YOu claimed its been hotter and then played some word games. If you claimed it was hotter, then your proofs better show the last 3 years were hotter. Dont try and stretch numbers that dont actually back your point of view. I personally think your assertion was wrong, but i stand corrected until numbers can be fetched from the bom. Still it is interesting that they have no simple graph of simple avgs for all years for some period of time. Its sad they dont, as that would answer a lot of questions.

Did i ever claim that ? I was just being honest. I only asked for raw numbers which none of us could find. If you cant find them either thats fine, but dont go inventing facts based on numbers you dont have.

Roots and geometries in Revelations

several days ago while driving across town in the car, it came in conversation that the new jerusalem was perfect cube.. also, according to my source, the measure of city's dimension was quite significant of itself.. since beltway traffic was heavy and i was in the midst of exiting to an even more congested side road, i let most of those assertions ride.

but i made a mental note to look up and read the specifics of revelations chapter 21. from previous readings and commentaries, i was already a sceptic about whether john of the gospel was the same author of the epistles and this final book.

if i looked at words and concepts in the gospel and revelations, i am inclined to think that john patmos was a wholly new influence on the course of the overall biblical book: someone accused of a less polished greek, pre-occupied with swords, harlots, the number seven and the the number 12, wings and mouths, codes and symbols for sure.. 21:1 - "then i saw a new heaven and a new earth...".

Revelation like the rest of the Bible and much of antiquity believed in numerology and astrology. Rev is especially filled with 7 and 12 because they are symbols of heavenly perfection. The heavens contain 7 what we would call planets and a year has 12 months. Anything more or less is chaos and wrong. All the measurements and countings are nonsense, John mentions a grouping or measure and must use either 7 or 12 in some form. Thousands are a way of say much, its not a literal number.
