  SAD news about OOMPA......

  our friend, oompa, has passed away.

  just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

  it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

  i have always been been a huge stevie nicks fan even when i was a kid when she came out with rhiannon.

  i dont go to many concerts but if there is a way to see her when she tours next year i will be in the audience!

  it's hard for me to pick a favorite song by her but if i had to choose it would be storms.

  karen king from harvard university holds the papyrus fragment that has four words written in coptic, which are believed to prove jesus was married.

  Anyone else watch programming on BBC America?

  i've gotten into a show called "copper", on sunday nights.

  it's a detective show set in 1860's new york.

  i've been thinking about checking out some other programs advertised on the network..

  The new program Sherlock is very well made. Apologies given to Jeremy Brett (the real Sherlock Holmes).

  I also like the older BBC program Rumpole of the Bailey. Every so often I go back and watch the series through. Great Character.

  The Inspector Morse series is another good one. Not sure if these are replayed?

  it's been a long time.. well, i guess i'm gonna have to 'cut the cord' with my family.of course, they are all big sinners in jehovah's borganization, as is my husband.

  but, i need to get it together and start attending meetings again!.

  because he is the hypocrite and i don't tell them everything that goes on in our marriage, his word holds power over mine.

  The black and white, either or, explanations as to the reasons why you dont attend meetings, go out in Field Circus, or whatevever, are droned to the sheeple nonstop. Always a problem with you, your thinking or attitude, you are weak, lack appreciation, understanding, (reasons go on and on).

  The reason is never that you have seen through the B.S.

  Wow, beat me to it James Woods.

  The episodes with Tom Baker are the ones that hooked me, but the latest ones are well done also.

  Am not ashamed to say even went to a Dr. Who convention in my younger days. No LARPing though.

  you might like our new song on you tube titled '0940 our spiritual mother' about the experience her 'children' have had as jehovah's witnesses.

  it's a reworded version of mother (pink floyd) set to new and historic watchtower images.. some who've already seen it have been kind enough to describe it as 'incredibly sad', 'powerful' and even 'poignant'.

  I Do Not Think Everyone That is a JW Wastes Their Life

  my 97 year old grandmother died last week.

  she was actually born and raised a jw.

  her mother (my great grandmother) was a russelite.

  My condolenses for your loss Magwitch.

  I have known older ones that have been JW's for their entire life, but still let their true selves come out despite the rigid confines of the Org.

  They would have been wonderful people either way, in or out of the Watchtower.

  They were great influences for me, not because of being a JW, but in spite of it.
