Great tribulation starts March 7 2008.
That would be 302 days.
That pretty much means nothing will happen on March 7 2008

1.your physical attractiveness.. 2.your intelligence.. 3.your personality.. with 5 being average.. i don't think many will answer these tough questions.
.
If 5 is average you are talking about a scale of 9 not 10

So that observation makes me a 10 on intelligence.
Physical attractiveness? At what age? And to whom? Women who are attracted to me are usally psychotic.
Personality? I can bs my way out of trouble.
Where is the creativity ranking? I am creative enough to make sure I am always in trouble.
that's about how many key strokes i've entered posting close to 2000 times.. that comes to almost 900 full type written pages.. i type around 150 characters per minute so just the job of typing my posts took me about 165 hours.
that comes to 30 minutes of typing per week for the last 6 years.. of course there is "thinking" time connected to the process which would probably bring it to at least 2 hrs.
per week thinking and typing.
I tend to think that the time I have spent on this forum probably would have been wasted on TV.
I would be interested in hearing from Simon, just how much memory the archives take up.

Total estimated time on this forum about 5 hours per week.
Is this another consequence of spending 55 years attending meetings, assemblies, personal study, field service, talk preparation.
Is this throwing good time after bad? Could I have written a couple of books in the last 6 years? Or maybe an extra hour of sleep?
And I'm not even a heavy poster on this forum.
Do we all appreciate the combined investment of all the posters on this forum?
Could you even put a dollar value on the time and labor let alone content?
I hate to tell you how much time it took to figure this out.
Copy and paste a substantial sample of your archives and run a word count in your word processor. What do YOU come up with?
My ex-wife said I smelled like a white person.
And did she say if that was a good thing or a bad thing proplog2 ?
I guess it was just a "thing".
My ex-wife said I smelled like a white person.
did you, even in subtle ways, stop living now, "putting all of your eggs" in one basket- the paradise earth?
.
were you so busy with "theocratic activities" that you planned to actually enjoy life once the new system arrived..
I have used this lament myself until I realized that you can't postpone your life.
Whatever hapens the meter is running. So what. People put off all sorts of things its call priorities:
After I grow up
After I get married
After I get divorced
After I change jobs
After The kids leave home
After I retire
After armageddon just happened to be a fantasy.
For most people a few milestones are passed and prove to be uneventful.
i'm new here -- i confidently disassociated in 1994 (but really left the organization in 1992).
i was a ministerial servant and gave talks at conventions.
i'm not bragging, but just giving you an idea of my involvement.
Liberal and conservative are NOT just political orientations. The reflect deep thinking styles and temperament. Like any organization there are conservatives and liberals among JW's. And in the same proportions as you will find in any organization. So you can safely assume that at least half of JW's take a regular excursion into the internet and satisfy their curiosity about everything including their beliefs.
Look at this chart.

It would seem that in the parts of the world where large populations have access to the internet that 72% of JW's go on line. The big drop off point is the over 60 population - baby boomers.
If they use the internet at all its probably for E-Mailing. That represents the generational change in the organization. Assuming JW's reflect the national demographics then the over age 60 members = about 46% of total membership. The low-internet users are the past. The high internet users are the future. It is interesting that those who visit religious pages are close to the same accross all age groups around 30% So you can figure that about 15% of JW's that live in countries with easy internet access are checking out religious issues on a regular basis. In another 10 years that will probably increase to around 30% and internet accessibility is growing world-wide at a rapid pace. So it appears any high informational control group whether religious or governmental is going to have serious problems. The age-group that has the highest "religious" activity on the internet is the 29-40 age group. This is the group that usually become new converts. They are vulnerable to joining a church of some sort because they are now committed to raising a family. This is the age-group that is trying to clean up bad marriages and rebuild their lives. And it is the age group of most new elders in the congregation.
Here is another thing to consider. There are multiple effects of the internet. While information accelerates the departure of some it slows down the departure for others.
Because of groups like this forum, people don't have to feel the full pressure of alienation. They don't experience the "crisis" in isolation. They can plan their exit by fading and they get to swap support experiences with others who are "stuck" due to family situations. Being informed allows the JW experience to become more of a shared culture rather than a dogmatic religion.
The waning influence of the baby-boomers is in parallel with the centenial of 1914. The sky IS falling.
did you know the wts never announced that the devil was cast down until 1925!!
look at this now will ya.
quote from the book "babylon the great has fallen -god's kingdom rules".
