  I make no apology - this series is bloody brilliant!

  This is just the way the Bible needs to be conveyed - super-heroes and super-villains. It puts it all squarely where it needs to be, in fantasy.

  The artists involved must be having a whale of a time. It is stunning to look at. I love some of the progressions. Lot's wife becoming a pillar of salt is a beaut - you really get the impression of it creeping up her leg and around her hand until it covers her face. That solitary tear.

  The women are comic-book gorgeous. Jochebed in the water is downright sexy! The exaggerated movement in the braids of Potiphar's wife.

  Best, for me, is the Red Sea saga: The boy in the back of the wagon noticing the approaching Egyptians; the artist is obviously a Star Wars nut - he couldn't resist, "It's a trap!" And that girl rocking out at the end - f'ckin' marvellous!

  The only weak thing is the lettering - they need to get someone who can print and do speech-bubbles, rather than leave that to the computer.

  I know, I know, all that talent being used for the indoctrination of children - it is sickening. A crying shame. But there's a little part of me that thinks it won't really help - it might rather lodge in the child's mind as being unreal. Put it into the category of all the other comics that are not real.

  Serious problems with Gospel of John, and his Revelation

  1) john presents a jesus who is totally different from other gospels.

  2) johns claim of jesus being partial to him undermines jesuss own teaching (mathew 5:44-48).

  3) johns claim of first miracle (changing the water into wine) and the last (or most spectacular) miracle of resurrecting lazarus are not known to earlier gospel writers---something impossible for them to miss!.

  To be fair, Lett has struggled with stuttering as have I. For some who are "slow of mouth" over-enunciating helps, and being super-animated helps too. I know it helps me.
