  New anti-spam measures

  we've been bombarded by spam a number of times in the last few weeks and last night was the worst yet.

  i already built some tools to make removing it easier because i think the longer it stays up, the more it encourages it, but still it's annoying to see and interferes with the operation of the site.

  fortunately, we were able to catch and remove it relatively quickly.. i've now implemented and deployed some additional protection measures which i hope will better detect and block it from appearing in the first place.

  Should doctors tell JW patients that there is disagreement about Watchtower's blood policy.

  this has been a controversial issue among doctors and medical ethicists.

  i think it basically comes down to the fact that physicians have a responsibility to establish the presence of informed consent.

  is it really possible for a person to give informed consent if they are not accurately informed?.

  I would LOVE a doctor to ask a JW to explain how they can accept blood fractions as a matter of conscience when they can only be obtained by someone breaking God's law and donating blood.

  Do you accept that there are scriptures that indicate the deity of Christ? If you do, that would be the contradiction that believers were faced with. Jehovah of the OT with Jesus' claims in NT. The Jews rejected his claims, his followers accepted them. But there is the problem of reconciling the one God of the OT with Jesus and Holy Spirit in the NT.

  But you already know that. And your conclusion is that it is polytheism. Fair enough!

  It means that the trinity is an attempt to explain something which is contradictory. I said that 3 hours ago.

  It is a mystery. It could also be wrong.

  I can't see why you think that a being that existed in a totally different form to us and wasn't governed by our physical laws and of which there was nothing that we are aware of in our universe to compare it to, is an impossibility?

  Frankly I don't like your snotty tone. I wasn't pretending anything. First comment I made was that this was bizarre. And I meant you. I didn't know what angle you were coming from. I do now.

  Yes of course it is a contradiction. There is nothing that we are aware of in our world that fits this description. That is why I said the trinity was a concept.
