guess the overlapping generation concept is difficult for most to comprehend.

the cutoff date for this generation has now moved to 1992 (was once 1935), the year that fred franz died.

another member on here announced the publication of my new book "gifts in men, a heavier responsibility" a couple of months ago and some of you asked who i was as to my authenticity and motives.

i have had an amazing reaction to my book even from jws who know me and my story but were still shocked at the details.

i was not raised a jw, not disfellowshipped nor disassociated and loved being a regular pioneer, serving in uk and ireland.

another member on here announced the publication of my new book "gifts in men, a heavier responsibility" a couple of months ago and some of you asked who i was as to my authenticity and motives.

i was not raised a jw, not disfellowshipped nor disassociated and loved being a regular pioneer, serving in uk and ireland.

It's a bit to do with forum history. New posters have in the past solicited for money, or told all sorts of wild stories (not in book form tho lol!) One even invented an imaginary partner who then got 'terminally ill' causing much upset.

So many are cautious about new posters 😊

Well if we accept what Vinman has subsequently said, that he was being sarcastic and making a point albeit not very clearly, I think his point stands.

To call an atheist 'deluded' would be an attack on the person not on his thoughts, position or belief.

Call a person of faith deluded and it is 'acceptable'. As Island Man's post demonstrates.

I'm just making a point too. Possibly the same one as Vinman lol

Well if you look at the top of this page of the thread you will see a post by Island Man in support of Ray Franz but it his first sentence he calls him a 'deluded theist'!!

I agree with Vinman. Although I too didn't realise the point he was trying to make either until I read the whole thread with his added comments.

So stop having a go and read before you post. He doesn't think Ray Franz was an idiot or a moron.

I'm a long time poster here and I can 'vouch' for Trish. I know her personally and was in the same Cong for a while. We left independently and unknown to each other until we met up again a few weeks ago. I have read the book too 😊
