  Ha ha first post in MANY a year!

  My cousin who is like a brother to me sent me the video on WhatsApp. Last time I was here, WhatsApp didn’t exist, and me and my cousin were still estranged over JW shit. Now he’s sending me Lloyd Evans videos 😂👍

  I have told him many times that although I think the content of his videos is good, I have no time for the man. Because of the AAWA stuff, and his complete arrogance over exposing exJWs to their families and congregations.

  So he sends me the link, I go to look just now, see it’s 1hr 38mins long and think wtf no WAY am I sitting through that 🙄😂🤦‍♂️

  I’m trying to find online what has been released about him. Reddit has taken it down. And I think “now where’s it gonna be….”

  Et voila! Here I am, here some of you still are, and there’s the info I was looking for 😎

  If the others are anything to go by, WT will appeal to get the amount reduced and will pay up subject to a gagging order.

  Can’t the authorities see the irony that the whole thing is to do with failure to report and then when a judgement is made, the court allows WT to hide behind reporting restrictions!!!

  walked into panda express for lunch the other day and there was a unusually long line.

  i notice a large group of folks that had a familiar dress and smile on their faces.

  the women dresses below the knees and the men wearing the top of line goodwill special suits.

  Dutch government look for possibility to revoke JW charity status (=tax breaks) after JW refuse independent investigation re. abuse

  well, the title says it all.

  the dutch government will look into the possibility to revoke the charity status of jw after they refused to cooperate in the child abuse scandal.. the government urged the jw to start an independent investigation into the jw child abuse issues, and after some stalling the jw flatout refused.

  unfortunately the government can't really force them.. the chance that the charity status is actually revoked is very small as there appears to be no legal basis to do so, but right now the government and house of representatives are very annoyed with jw.. and in the meantime the da will continue their investigation based on the victims officially reporting abuse to the police..

  It is scandalous how toothless the government/authorities are when someone just point blank refuses to cooperate. If that doesn’t send alarm bells ringing nothing will.

  At least 5 that I can think of immediately. Two were actual brothers, under 30, and both suffered with mental illnesses.

  One a young woman from my own group of friends, in very early 20s.

  An elder, very intelligent, had rebelled slightly and become a school teacher but ‘in good standing’ because of his connections.

  Actually last one was a multiple attemptee. Including hurling herself from at least 4th floor of a block of flats. Survived. 2 kids under 10 at the time.
