my wife and i met with 3 elders for a "judicial hearing".. our crime: simply put, was talking.
i showed a friend the un website where the wts was listed as an ngo which then led to a 2 hour discussion of various doubts that we both have had.
my wife also showed a friend the un thing but also discussed with her a first hand account of a pedophile cover-up that we knew about in our former congregation.

The Religeous leaders in Jesus day were sticklers for the written law. They impelled the people to follow every letter, but did pretty much what they wanted. They were above the law of Moses. So Jesus was telling the people to do as they said, because of telling them to follow the law of Moses, but not as they did, because the Religeous leaders were not acting in harmony with the law.
Today if any man tells you to do something that is harmony with the scriptures do it. If it is not, Obey God over men no matter who they claim to be.

i have been taken a closer look at many of the posters here on this board.
most of you are very critic about the jw and special about doctrines.
Too much negative energy is used bashing JWs.Don't you folks have some positive information to send out? Tell people how they "can have a good relationship with God, please.
i am sending this letter via email to both my local hospital and to several doctors (different version) who have occasion to treat my immediate family.. i thought that i would post such on the db so that others here could also do the same.
however, i would ask that you do not completely duplicate the letter, in the event that the same hospital or same doctor receive this more than once, and discard it as a hoax.
please take the time to change some of the wording, and personalize it to your own circumstances.. i will post any received replies, and i ask that others please do the same.. *****************************************.
If you ever find yourself in a situation where your medical treatment has been revealed, find out who revealed it. If that information is not provided to you, do not answer questions about your personal affairs. Then try to track down the person that revealed confidential information.
If people know that they stand the chance of losing their jobs and also being sued, they will not so readily reveal such information to small minded nobody's that don't know, as one elder said "their ass from a whole in the ground".

i am still one of jehovah's witnesses, although i disagree with a number of the tenets of the watchtower society.
i feel that i cannot preach their version of the "good news" to my neighbours and i told an inquiring elder from the congregation that i felt that their was a gulf between the society's version of the good news and that preached by christ.
they now want to give me a "shepherding call".
Keep your thoughts to yourself. Air them here if you need to vent. I feel the same way that you do. I have had similar experiences. You are not wrong in your feelings. Let no one make you feel any other way.

here is my story.. i was "raised in the truth".
I really enjoyed reading your life ecperience. It sound so much like my own. I too feel free, even though I have not left. I do not want to lose my family. The others don't really matter to me, because it makes me sad to think that they are so controlled and allow themselves to remain that way. My family are not as controlled as the others, but they still don't see things as clear as I do. I love Jehovah and His Son Jesus and try not to do things that will not offend Them, and tell others about Them and the blessings in the near future. I live a clean life, and do practice what I preach. What I do, I do because it is right according to the Bible and not because a man said so. If it is human interpretation, I ignore.
I came here because it is a place for me to express my heart. I can't even say these things to my spouse, because he cannot see through the human rulership in "Jehovah's Name".
I will not give them the satisfaction of considering me as non-existant. Psalms 15: says that a guest in the house of God will walk faultlessly, practice righteousness, speak truth,will not slander,do nothing bad to his companion,.......
I follow that code and those that don't are not welcomed guests. Why should I not be there. The so-called members are practicing all those bad things. "They" should not be there. They will not run me away. I am waiting for them to leave. In the meantime I remain cautious as a serpent yet innocent as a dove.
