for some background - i studied on & off as a child with a jehovah's witness who has been patiently working on lots of our family for more than a decade and never gave up on any of us.

as a middle-schooler and a highschooler, my love for jehovah and any association with my childhoood bible teacher... faded.

I understand where you are coming from a failed relationship! In reality, you were in an abusive relationship. Praying is a great help but it does not mean that the Jehovahs Witnesses are God's choosen religion, the truth.
I hope you study the bible like the KG and many other bibles to understand false doctrines of the Watchtower.
Some times people make poor choices and when they start making better choices their lives changes. Better choices such as do not date someone who is abusive toward you and your child, choose to not be around people who lie, drink too much, or do drugs.

i was baptized as one of jehovah witnesses in 1986. then in 2003, i disassociated myself officially with a letter.

but i did not stop reading the bible or believing in god.

but i have noticed everyone’s reaction here is very different to the great wickedness of the watchtower society.. some of us do not believe in god anymore, and threw their bibles away completely.

Jesus gave his life for everyone so they can be saved! The point with Jesus is that his sheep hear his voice and they will not follow after false Jesus.
Does the JW follow after a false Jesus? I would say yes.
The special provision is Jesus Christ and the many different bibles. God draws who he wants and only he has the power to snatch people out of all religions.

last night i told my mom my true feelings on the organization and what i've learned so far.

it all started from a conversation, we need to go visit the new headquarters.

my mom has been studying and just recently became an unbaptized publisher in the spanish cong.

Considering your mother is unbaptized publisher it is good that you expressed your doubts about the religion. Ask her if she believes that Jesus is many different angels,not just Michael the Archangel. It is important to stay honest with your mom. Not too many Christians could agree with Jesus as many angels. Plant a small seed!

A wise one would tell the youth to get a college education, because pioneering after high school one will suffer harm! That is the bottom line!
Clearly, the stupid writers of the Daily Text lacks wisdom to understand Proverbs.

Pierce on page 3! Amazing how he knew the way and qouted the basic scripture all churches use as proof for heavenly hope. It is like he carried his beliefs from another church and never gave it up!

In the past any JW who qouted that scripture as "knowing the way" as proof of a heavenly hope would be frowned upon. Many,partakers were interrogated yearly by overseers and elders. A good friend stated the 144,000 would get together for after parties. After overseer interogated "us" party.

I just found it odd.

All the other articles are nothing but warning members! Better do this or else. Few true God worshipers! Bull!

I found it unbearable that it took someone 25 years to get reinstated and another person 15 years. I doubt very much either one found joy being marked for life. It proves that not everyone gets reinstated in less than a year. Harsh punishment by individual kh.

Basically the articles proves things never changed in WT land. Glorify a dead GB who gets heavenly hope, and put the fear into all the other members!

Hello everyone! Thanks Simon for setting me straight! I enjoyed reading everyone thoughts!

Sorry if I hurt your feelings, I think what I was trying to state really came off wrong. Anyhow, I know little about how hard it takes to keep this forum going and running. You must spend a lot of hours just keeping everything running smooth. Once again thanks for explaining Ads.
