Proof of Noah's Flood - Presently watching a Documentary about Europe & the Ice Age

first time i ever heard anyone say there was 'proof' of noah's flood.. very interesting,.

showed a trawler, where the team dredges regularly in the north sea - for animal bones, massive land animal bones, mammoths.. he said, originally, the bones were sent for analysis, and the dr stated, they were proof of noah's flood.. the north sea area was a land mass of dry grazing lands.

and it was very similar to africa.. many bones were found in london, of lions, hippos, etc ... when they were digging out the underground.. .

The context of Genesis 3:15

i just want to share my thoughts on genesis 3:15.. we all know the position of the wt/gb/fds on this, that the woman represents heavenly organization (with annointeds, of course), the serpent satan and everybody that is bad.. but to me, the context says other thing.. god is cursing the man, the woman, and the serpent.. first, he starts with the serpent, and give it a pretty mundane curse: you are going to crawl.

and will have hostility with woman's offspring.. then the woman: you will feel pain when giving birth.. then the man: you are going to work hard.. from this curses, you can read they were pretty mundane.

simple put, they were curses.

Many Christians believe Sarah represents Gods faithful woman. JWs believe it is them earthly 144,00 now just GB then heavenly. Churches believe it is their church, The church through out the New Testament all go to heaven.

Also for most churches they see Jesus as the one who is creating in Genesis. 26 Then God said, “Let us (BO) make mankind (BP) in our image, (BQ) in our likeness, (BR) so that they may rule .

Again the us are Jehovah and Jesus,orJesus God speaking to angels.

The society goes to extremes to state pre Jesus was in creation as one of many angels in the Let US! No proof! Us could be Jesus talking with angels, or Jehovah GOD talking with Pre Jesus God.

The society also believes Eve was not forgiven and therefore will not be resurrected. No proof!(I personally think she will be because Jehovah gave her a son to take the place of Abraham. They also think that Seth did evil because he called or made an alter to Jehovah. LOL. I believe the good lineage came through Seth and there is no proof he did evil.

So if Eve the first WOMAN was not forgiven and the society claims:" It would follow logically and in harmony with the Scriptures that the “woman” of Genesis 3:15 would a spiritual “woman.” LOL And corresponding to the fact that the “bride,” or “wife,” of Christ is not an individual woman, but a composite one, made of many spiritual members (Re 21:9), the “woman” who brings forth God’s spiritual sons, God’s ‘wife’ (prophetically foretold in the words of Isaiah and Jeremiah as cited in the foregoing), would be made up of many spiritual persons. It would be a composite body of persons, an organization, a heavenly one.

The woman in Genesis 3:15 is Eve! where is the logic and harmony! Consider it is coming from the FDS it appears they predicted:

The GB or 144,000 from the Jehovah's Witnesses are from the spiritual seed of Eve, Satans organization. Rev 21 can not be the symbolic WOMAN of Eve and does not correspond with Gensis 3:15. That is just messed up!

Telling my wife that I would accept a blood transfusion

this is my first post here.. first a few details about myself.

i am 33, married, from switzerland and i have a little baby boy.

i am still a jehovah's witness and i am still attending the meetings.

JWFACTS! your emails are so sad I just want to cry.

Anyhow, when I had surgery the doctor asked me about blood transfusion in case of emergency. Although most my family members are no longer attending I did not want anyone see me get a transfusion. The doctor said they would make sure that only staff would see and family and friends would not see.

I have blood disorders was told my entire life I would die if needed surgery, so I was fortunate that I did not need blood transfusion!

If you decide to tell your wife perhaps you could suggest that friends and family do not need to know and arrange for the doctors to keep the transfusion private.

one of the elders was sent to our house to talk to me the possibility of being recommended as elder.

he did not know however that one of the elders who is a friend of mine had already divulged this future meeting.

JW prayers

listen, i know many of you saw the word 'prayer' in the thread title and are just itching to write a post about how prayer never works, sorry to disappoint, but whether or not prayer works is not the point of this post.. jws do believe that prayer works, and as such, what they tend to pray about is, i think, quite revealing about their general attitudes toward other people.. i have heard thousands of public prayers by jws, some of you may have heard tens of thousands.

i obviously cannot remember them all, but my experience tells me that never, or at least rarely (i guess there are always exceptions to the rule) would a jw pray for the solution of a general problem such as asking jehovah to help the homeless, asking jehovah to bring peace in a wartorn country, or asking jehovah to bring about fairness to the oppressed, except as such problems may effect other jws, or except by means of 'the kingdom', which is supposed to solve said problems by wiping out all those suffering them.

they may pray for direct help for members of the congregation going through major problems, but i rarely hear a jw offer to say a personal prayer for someone going through a hard time.

I really do not think I was taught to personally pray for needs or wants. Maybe for good health.

Basically, I taught myself by listening to wordly people.

I remember when someone studied with me she would ask God to help me discern scriptures. Personal prayers never happen.

There was never a time were I ever heard a JW pray for other unless they were in the hospital or half dead.

Mainly, prayers were for Gods kingdom to come, preaching work to be done. It is all bull because we prayed for a corporation to succeed.

God us to pray for everthing that happens in your life good or bad and thank God.

Pray for political: president so our country will do great and we prosper.

Fruits of other religion: The big diffeence between Seven Day Adventist and JWs, SDAs pray every Saturday by name for other people, on their knees,and some are not members. Church Of Christ gather during the week then go into groups to pray for individuals or friends non members or members. Baptist pray prior to their weekly bible study for others, non members friends, family,and politics.

JWs are too egocentric they think they are judging people to righteousness! Praying is beneath judges that is why they are trained to be critical of each other and outsiders.

i came to the conclusion a year ago that i wanted to leave.

Where do you see yourself in a year? write it down,

Where do you see yourself in two years? write it down.

Where do you see yourself in five years? write it down.

I know one thing for sure that the JW children at your age either get married too soon with baby on the way, or stay living with mother until they are in their forties.

Just stating reality. My neighbor non JW is 26 has a job and has nevered moved out of moms house.

Be selfish make your plans and write them down. Look at them every night.

And date lots of girls.

One more thing: Let the conductor know right away that you do NOT want him to come to the house asked him to not talk with your mother that you will talk with her. ! If he wants to know why. Say, it not your concern. He probably did not talk with you much only for a shallow purpose. He does not need to not know any more! Zip it. Later if your mother ask why so and so is not coming to the house. Let her know that you asked him to stop coming to the house. When she asked why, He started to plan my future and there are three examples in the bible where young men had higher education before God called them to do his will. I am not ready to make the types of commitments he expected. Between you and your parents, state that you would like to get a college education. If not college let her know that you are looking for a job and anything else will just be too much for you to handle at this point in your life. I am sure that she will be very understanding and happy one way or the other for you. She just wants you to have a plan.

Are people like Abraham, Isaiah or Jeremiah in heaven ?

i am discussing with my father about various subjects and this is one of them.. what arguments can i use to support this "doctrine" (so to say) ?.

Moot point based on faith and view points. Abraham and Sarah were wondering around seeking a home but saw NEW Jersualem from afar! Are they now in a spiritual bodies in heaven? Moot not worth arguing about the ressurection. I hope so! Who really knows that answer unless you want to debate when the first resurrection begins.

Church activities in August! here is the list three nights of indoor activities with pizza, beach trip, white water rafting, soccer games, horse back riding, Oaks Park fun rides and roller skating.

Northwest JWs do not plan activities as a group.
