Talked to JW's in Service Today (kinda long...sorry)

i was in my company vehicle and i spotted some jw's going from door to door.. i circled around the block and pulled over.

when they passed, i rolled down the .

window and asked the pleasant looking middle aged couple as they passed, if they were jehovah's .

I think they will leave the borg. You probably helped them some because your experience just going to add to what they know.

Some JW thrive with being heartless which I found out at my mothers funeral service at the KH.

It is not a place to ignore a dfd one but they did with me. It was something that was shocking how cold they were. They delibrately talked with my sister but treated me as if I was not standing next to her. We were walking toward the car.

Sorry for your hurt and pain. I know it gets easier but the pain never goes away.

They did not have blood transfusions in the bible. All the scriptures were referring to not drinking blood because of ritual practices in front of idols.

Did you ever noticed how the society delibrately leaves out scriptures about; what would you do for your friend? A true friend GIVES his life for his friend. That is the basic bibical foundation for blood transfusion. You give your blood for them which represents life.

Consdering how awful animals are treated, How would a JW know that the chickens did not get its head twisted,strangled,before chopped! Ekks! They do not care about the meat strangled. Should JW go to a certain places just to buy meats?

The point is that she read John 5 which breaks down the WT societies foundations. The purpose they go door to door is to gather in the righteous and the ones who do not take the WT go off to judgement. It is like the Baptist going around telling people they are going to hell when it is not their right to state who is going to hell. Not all Baptist do this.

Anyhow, I find it strange how indviduals JW interrupt the bible during their so call school night. They have a reading of the verse but interupted the meanings wrong! odd considering:

It must be the deeper understanding of the mysteries and the power to decern scriptures! I have been dinged by JW that I was not able to decern the deeper things of God! John 5 was the topic.

I had elders run out of my house and off my door steps! Just point out facts and they get all puffed up!

Do you think not having the book study in private homes has had much effect?

it's been a few years since the organization ended the book study arrangement in private homes.. gone was the last opportunity to have tea and biscuits and a natter with the friends afterwards.. do you think people regret losing the book study?

for some, it may have been the only time they were able to get some "associaton".

I been out a long time, and I think WT screwed up. They could have done away with the Theocratic school or did they! Lol

The two hour one was so tough to attend! Brutal.

Ekks Villagegirl, Babylon The Great book! How could any young person understand it. I read it again about ten years ago just cannot figuemre out why we studied three times! Why people did not walk out because of that book. Rutherford thought God Kingdom on earth was going to fold because his time in jail.

I enjoyed before and after meetings. That was what about 30 minutes of social time!

A conversation with my JW mother ...

so, due to recent deaths in the family i have been talking with my mom lately.

i try to say something here and there to make her go hmmmm ... so she made a comment about the millions now living will never die ...i said " wasn't that said about the 1914 generation, and we know how that went", meaning will not come true.

she thinks for a moment and said...yeah there's something new writtten somewhere in one of the magazines, but she went hmmm for a split of a second there ..lol.

I could never figure WT reasoning after the death of Jesus until now! Written historical facts about Russell and Rutherfords movements are not evidence of Gods Kingdom based on the bible.

Commentary qoute is right, and it fits the JW completely! they tried robbing us of our salvation by Grace, and had everyone preaching a false Jesus.

it is not typical of all the problems causing urbanisation in china, but does illustrate some.. the village is dacan ancient village, located in yuxian, in north china's shanxi province.

it is surrounded by mountains.

Once Again: It's Okay for JWs to Rip-Off Non-JWs

today i heard from the owner of a small restaurant, the story of how a brother in a local congregation ripped him off for thousands.

the restaurant owner is not a jw but totally familiar with the cult, as his mother is a long-time baptized sister.

she asked him to hire this wonderful brother from her congregation to do construction work he needed at his house.

Crying "Wolf!"

the wt/gb have been doing this for so long now that i get the feeling it has really had its day.

even when i was in, i for one had no fear of armageddon, or any real belief i would see it in my lifetime anyway.

i could feel then that it was difficult to really get any sense of urgency pushing the bros, they just carried on with life, admittedly, with most of them still hoping to actually see a paradise earth.. i get the feeling now that even long time jw's like my jw family are resigned to not seeing the "end", and more importantly, i think the general smell of bull***t that comes from the gb has taken away a lot of the respect they used to get, and means that their chief weapon fear , is losing its power.. the fear of being df'd is still wielded as a weapon very effectively, but all the "end is soooo close" stuff has run out of puff with most of the r&f.. the wt has "cried wolf" for far too long ..

What would you do if a major disaster was heading your way in three or six months from now?

Right, so if the JWs really believed in Armageddon would they not do something! If you believed in "A"

Would you include prayers for the people so God would change his mind!

It would be the first thing on any JWs mind when visiting others. Prepare for a real natural disaster! It would be a constant on going conversation!

There is no evidence that JWs actually believe WT end days! I never got in to a Satuday morning car with JWs talking about "A"

It would be heartless to let loved one who were inactive of dfd die! So Jws would make sure they talked with them and prayed until the final hour!

About the GB, they were never really important in the sixties and seventies. So it is hard to grasp how they are now the 144,000. I do not recall talks about them. Just a bunch if old dudes ready for the grave! Proving the Last generation was ready to die off.

What are they going to do at Memorial because only the 144,000 partook, but, if the GB are the 144,000 that would mean all the partakers are false!

Can you imagine how hard these changes are on seniors! Hard to switch the old doctrines off!

I feel sorry for the ones who are still in and seeing their doctrines collapse yet they are not mentally and emotionally prepared! They must feel something stress, nervous break downs, heart issues, more cancer, lot of physicall illness.

Denial just causes illnesses.
