Before Jesus was man he was the Word God. Jesus as a perfect man was not God. Only until he went back to heaven he took his role as God.

Colossians 1:15-16 and the word "other"
by yogosans14 in"he is the image of the invisible god, the firstborn of all creation; because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities.
all [other] things have been created through him and for him.

ARoq stated,"he reason why a "lessor god" theory is important is because God is one, and if you add a "lessor god" who is also worshiped, then you have polytheism. Polytheism is against God's word. Worship has and is being given to Jesus, if He is not God then you have a problem."
That is right all power and authority was given to Jesus by his Father God.
Hebrews 1:4 God calls Jesus God.
That makes two.
John 1:1 there are two The Word was with God.
Anyhow, you make polytheism against Gods word but YHWH does not.
Jesus is not Almighty God but would be called mighty God.

First born of all creation does not say first created of all created. Jesus was YHWAH begotten son. Not too sure I want to explain that one but the WORD and YHWH had a unique relationship, "Let us create." I doubt YHWH was talking with his angels. Two God's having a great time creating with their angels.
Anyhow, I keep it simple Jesus was the Word in the beginning prior to creation. The Word was in Eternity with YHWH. Eternity is a topic the WT seems to neglect it was before star, sun, and moon that make up 24 hours in a day.
I believe Jesus is God but not the Heavenly Father God. If YHWH can call Jesus God who am I to argue with him or her!
Yogasana thank you for sharing your research!

The Governing Body Need To Get Their Head Out From In Between Their Derrière And Start Reading What Apostate Sites Are Actually Saying
by frankiespeakin init does no good for the governing body to burry their heads up their ass in denial as to what people who have left are saying about them and their insane selfserving teachings.
i know denial is a real bitch to deal with and i'm sure this bunch of over the hill gang will have a hard time doing google searches and they are probably not sure where to look but they oughta get some one to show them how to find all this information, this willful ignorance is really hurting them, and reality can come crashing in more horrible ways the longer the denial exist and is hiding valuable information you really need before you proceed to make better decisions for your company and the direction you want it to go..

'worldly' events vs JW events... the fear, and the reality
by undercover ini went to what a jw would call a 'worldly' wedding a couple of weeks ago.. having been raised a jw, i had never been to a 'worldly' wedding until i was in my late 20s or early 30s.
the horror stories of 'worldly' people in general kept me from associating with 'worldly' people, except as necessary through work, etc.
as i became more willing to associate with workmates and other 'worldly' people, i started to realize the fear that had been instilled in me was mostly false.

I do not recall any problems with JW weddings.
I am just curious about something.
The fear of stepping outside the organization and associating with "worldly" did you noticed how different you were? I am sure the "worldly" ones did. It actually took me years to shake off those internal feelings. I know from talking to people from thirty years ago, they knew something was off because of not allowing a deep genuine friendship. Always stand offish yet friendly, and never willing to tell about my religious up bringing. I pretended to be open but was actually closed off. I am guessing it was too much shock and not enough understanding into false WT teachings. I thought worldly people were what the JWs taught, until some worldly ones were more compassionate, loving, and more strict than JWs.

Yeah, that is the same thing they said about my father! Elders in our living room! With a twist He would have not survived Armageddon. Why?
My father was guilty of supporting his family and working hard! He opened his home for weekly book studies and not everyone can do that. Yet due to his work hours and not making meetings he was not worthy to survive Armageddon!
It does not matter if it comes from a wack o doodle because the cult teaches that they know who will die at Armageddon.
Cults hurt children emotionally and the scars last a life time.
Jehovah's Witness by attending meetings your placing your children in the hands of elders who lack any kind of training.
One more thought, WT does not teach that suicidal cases will be resurrected so JWtalk bloggers are really messed up! They do not know their own doctrines.
I agree it is NUTS and COMPLETELY INSANE!

Jesus was a false prophet?
by opusdei1972 inand he said to them, "i tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of god come with power.
(mark 9:1).
when you are persecuted in one place, flee to another.

Prophet,Jesus is so far more than a prophet! He is the only begotton son of Almighty God, and anyone who follows him will have eternal life.
He was the WORD in the beginning of creation with God!
There is only one secure future and that is believing in Jesus Christ.
Acts chapter 1 is a testimony for Jesus and proves Jesus past prophecy came true. Thousands of people heard then repented. They believed and built their faith up daily.
I think Ezekiel prophecy has not been fullfilled yet. I doubt very much that Jesus earthly kingdom has been fullfilled.
I agree with BucketShopBill Jesus said his Kingdom would be a Earthly Kingdom, as shown in Act 1:3, 6-7 it's obvious he was spoke of a future kingdom. His illustrations constantly told his followers they would have to wait.
Unlike WT teachings, today his followers are waiting without worry.

Scriptures that now seem to apply to JWs
by Magnum inin the last year or so, many bible passages that i used to strongly and confidently apply to non-jws, began to seem to apply to jws.
this change in my thinking was shocking and disturbing.
i can best describe the feeling by comparing it to the feeling i got in 1981 when i watched the movie dead and buried starring james farentino.. in that movie there are murders committed in a small town by dead people reanimated by a doctor doing experiments.

Making up a hate group encourages the in group to bond and stay close.
I agree with blondie!
Just like the Pharisees, the WT went against true worship of Almighty God. I doubt that the word apstate was ever used by Jesus but he called them out because they went against God! Pharisees were the apostate leaders just like the GB. Big money.
Now many former JWs join Jesus by calling out religious leaders lies! Granted we are hated but that is ok.
Wt will not get other religions groups to join in their hate campaign. Yet although many do not follow bible doctrines they speak out against WT corporate LIES!
The examples in the article are weak evidence of apostasy because each generation were treated different. If anthing the stories should explain how God allowed man to understand his own weaknesses. Only WT would twist bible stories into negativite APOSTASY campaign with their baptized followers Jehovah's Witnesses to help.
Jehovah's Witnesses please see through this hate campaign and stop practising SHUNNING! Today say"NO,TO SHUNNING!"
