  Rub a Dub, I haven't read entire thread so forgive me if my following comment has already been considered.

  First of all, there's a fundemental difference between 'SIN' and 'CRIME.'

  Have you ever heard anyone being publickly recorded/announced by law for being adulterer or smoker? Public Sex Offender Registration is there for the purpose: warning public that 'dangerous sex criminals' are in your community! Because of its heinoussness nature of crime, its arrangement is enforced by the law. He/she has no legal right if their name and crime were to announced publickly(whether in the public record or on the church board). It's there to protect the public especially vulunerable children not the criminals. The Criminal lost his privacy right voluntarily and rightfully. He/she deserves public condemnation(but cut off from human contact such as disfellowshipping) as result of their very own heinous violent conduct.

  For any ogranization to conceal and proctect the criminal(convicted or not) is putting themslevs for guilty of condoning the crime and commiting the crime of obstruction of justice, let alone punishing the victims and their family while concealing the criminal with all their power at all cost. The Watchtower has been got away with their unlawful and unethical conduct from being prosecuted for the crime of Obstruction of justice. (referance: Warren Jeffs' case). I know for fact, I would have been prosecuted at no time for the very same thing that the Watchtower and their elders have done.

  As far as concerning in making annoucement of disfellowshipping detail over being immoral according to their policy? THERE'S NO RIGHT WAY TO DO THIS! It is unscriptural and inhumane. The word 'disfellowship' is not even in the New Word Translation. The closest word is 'expel' in NWT. Why doesn't the Watchtower use this biblical language instead? Because its practice was unchristian and it was condemed by Jesus. It was commonly practiced among Jewish Community enforced by the their religeous leaders, the Pharisees! Jesus was expelled from the synagogue by the Pharisees.

  John 12:42; many even of the rulers actually put faith in him[Jesus], but because of the Pharisees they would not confess him, in order not to be expelled from the synagogue.

  John 9:22; His parents[who's blind son just was healed by Jesus] said these things because they were in fear of the Jews for the Jews had already come to an agreement that if anyone comfessed him as Christ, he should get expelled from the synagogue.(Read entire chapter 12 for back ground story)

  Jesus himself said, healthy one doesn't need physician but ailing one does. If you kick out those who's in need and refrain from doing right thing in fear of your religeous leaders, what is the purpose of your religeon in the first place?

  Disfellowshipping was practiced by the Pharisees whom Jesus called 'hypocrites,' 'Blind guides,' 'Serpents, offspring of vipers.'-Matt 23rd chapter.

  The Watchtower had brought/are bringing/will bring much unspeakable sorrow to their followers with this despicable pharisiac doctrine along with countless men made polices , rules, and inhumane procedures.

  It's not 'you are damned if you do, you are damned if you don't' but 'you are damn. Period!' for enforcing a such inhumane practice.

  The bottom line, the Watchtower is wrong and guilty in God's(Father of Jesus) eye!

  Edit:Convicted sexual criminals are to accompany by another responsible adult around children at all times(by law in the US) besides public's right to have knowledge of their identity. The organizations must apply the law and should make an arrangement accordingly within their community.

  they are asking him to meet with them as they have "witnesses to his apostacy".

  Excellent Job! What a lovely voice, Nugget!

  I would like to add my understanding on criminal issue. Yes, it was a civil law suit not a criminal court case. However, I understand perpetrator Kendrick is under the criminal investigation by the local PD. If he were to convictied in a criminal court on this case, the Watchtower or at least local elders can be criminally investigated for the crime of Obstruction of Justice.

  For example, if Kendrick were to convicted for the 1st degree felony, they will be convicted for the 1st degree misdemeanor if found guilty. FYI, the offense for failing to report child sexual abuse as priest in many States is 2nd degree misdemeanor. The priest is required to report it within 72 hours from learning a crime. The confession of child sexual abuse is not protected by the Eccesiastical Privillage in most state.

  we work against you, we use our position to convince and sway those that still drink your koolaid.

  we feed info to authorities who chase you, we warn off potiential converts by directing them to the real truth.

  Ditto to apostatethunder.

  IT was pharasiac behavior of the elders and co that opened my eyes to TTATT. I gave them evey benefit of doubts and beyond. I was forced to come to the conclusion who they really are. I have not read a single sentance of apostate meterial nor have I gone to any ex-JW website nor have I had any association with any ex-JWs. It was all from within! (I sure hope the GB is reading this)

  Their lost? to name a few:

  1. stopped writing check of $150 monthly to Worldwide Work .(been doing it for 15 years monthly).

  2. stopped donating for remodeling funds, CA, DA etc. (one year we donated $1500 on remodeling alone)

  3. No more using our cars for FS. (We had been puting 5000-10000miles annuely for many years)

  4. No more money to CO, DO (We always gave them money)

  5. No more participating your Quick building, remodeling, cleaning assembly slavery work.( Stay in your car or find nice spot and read JWN or take nap if you have to)

  6. order as much publications unnecessarily only to dump them to trash can.

  7. waste their resource fully.(ie: use 3 times extra toilet paper, papertowels and zero monetary contribution to local KH )

  8. encourage JW family not to donate.(it's going good.)

  My gain is your lost, the WTS! Now we are talking!

  Type 'Watchtower Scandal' on Google. Guess what first 3 biggest scandals are?

  Of course the first one is UN NGO scandal. Guess what the second one is? Check it out! You'll find it very interesting.

  Oh, BTW, have you read a recent thread about 'Question Box' on June of 2012 KM? Which topic says:

  i haven't been on here much lately, but i read barb anderson's report on the court case in california the other day.

  nice to see the borg finally getting what they deserve.. anyway, the daily mail has done a story about it and at the end you can give your comments.

  i think there are a number of 'faithful witlesses' on there who are giving the "thumbs down" to any negative comments about the borg, including mine.

  congress should authorize the irs to promulgate regulations; investigate members, employees, and former members complaints; and enforce legislation.

  an organizations tax exempt status should be suspended for not less than 3 years that does not promote freedom of religion and speech to its members and employees and instead intimidates or coerces them.. .

  The purpose is to help the Government to see who the WTBTS really is.

  It is a Publishing Company disguised in religion.

  Shunning is focused in this Petition. Now that Candace Conti's case is getting big publicity, it probably more effective if petition is focused more on in this area IMO . The WTS is clearly violating the law for failing to report the crime as required by law. The policy is definitely harmful to society but beneficial neither educational.

  No one is after religion.
