What do you think of drawings like these?

a long time ago the jw's published a book called "humans in search of god" (translation of the dutch version so i am sorry if the title is not totally correct).

i always remembered one sick drawing in it and it always made me wonder how this drawing could be used in one of their books.. .

warning: can be shocking to people who never saw it before!.

I remember opening to that picture when the book was released and shut it immediately as I didn't want to get nightmares. Only opened the book again out of necessity for the book study or the like. Even with this thread, I scroll down quickly so I don't have to look at it.

I have no problem with watching scientific programs showing dissections, but this picture is just sick. Normal institutions put a warning to their adult viewers (as DeWandelaar has kindly done too) that what they are about to see may be shocking - the thought doesn't even cross the mind of the WT$ and they know full well that kids are going to be looking at this stuff!

did anyone else notice the artwork change on page 12 and on page 83?

im new to this and cannot get the pictures to upload....but if you have a copy of the book and compare it with the pdf online, there is definitely a change.. what qould cause them to to this?.

i would be interesting to see if there were any changes to the wording of the paragraphs.

Not quite clear on the reasoning behind this text change. They didn't add the word "only", they just moved it from its' previous position before the word "occurs" in the previous line...

Any suggestions?
