  It's true but that is politics so there is nothing new there. You support who you like and turn a blind eye when they mess up. Just like marriage, you have to turn a blind eye to things you don't like in order to stay married otherwise you will be calling the divorce lawyers.

  as a rule, there are 3 types.

  one is the dramatic over the top person where a hangnail means you might have to get your finger cut off.. the second type is —who me, worry?

  i’m not going to let too much of anything bother me unless it really is armageddon.. the third type is the person in between.

  actors' acceptance speeches have often been a little dodgy - viewers don't care what political or social views actors may have, we typically appreciate actors acting well.. this year's oscars awards ceremony seems to be going above and beyond, however.. here's frances mcdormand's acceptance speech, in which she dedicates her victory to 'our wolf' and then howls like a bitch, lol.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-_be0awgwk.

  I wasn't aware Shawshank Redemption failed at the box office - it didn't fail, strictly speaking.

  It didn't make a financial loss.

  It just didn't pull in a lot of money, considering it's an excellent film.

  Shawshank Redemption budget: $25 million.

  Shawshank Redemption box office: $50 million.

  ^^^ Modest profit, really ...

  Shawshank Redemption was a great film and it was entertaining yet only $16 million at the Box office after its initial theatrical run. For Hollywood standard, that is pretty bad. It did make more later.

  Those in show business know that a box office flop can kill their career and that is why they make re-runs or whatever woke/traditional film will make them money. Entertaining you is just a consequence of the business.

  If you take a look at the highest grossing films list, there is a pattern that works and Hollywood knows that.

  The faithful slave is now just the governing body.

  This board is now a non stop ultra right wing boasting forum full of various half truths and outright lies. Traffic is down , besides the non stop fox news feed. Its basically just 12 people telling themselves how their freedom is on the line, take action , Remember Ruby Ridge, Waco will never be forgotten, marry that cousin before its too late. There is also a health dose of racist banter now too.

  I have a feeling another message board might spring up for the people who escape this one.

  "This board is now one non stop ultra right wing boasting forum" There are still JW topics for those interested. This forum is very America centric and recent events in the world did make their way into the forum.

  To the OP, the GB has decided to cull most Foreign language congregations and groups.

  What changed? It became too hot at some point and the potential commercial impact on youtube meant that he got the chop - why doesn't YouTube ban left-wing channels that become too hot?

  Another interesting study might be to investigate YouTube channels that have been banned, what they have been banned for, and see if left-wing and right-wing youtubers are (approximately) equally represented.
  

  I actually don't disagree with your point. What you will notice with the media ban on right wing vs left wing issue is about money. On youtube for example, take someone called Alex Jones, he had a channel and youtube didn't really care for years and they made a lot of money out of him. What changed? It became too hot at some point and the potential commercial impact on youtube meant that he got the chop.

  in January, Trump tells his supporters to fight against the election decision and he's investigated for incitement to violence. Maxine Waters says people should 'take to the streets and become more confrontational' and isn't investigated for incitement to violence and/or interference in an (at the time) ongoing case.
  

  The problem with the above is that the Courts already rule on the issue and someone couldn't take a hint. Another reason why the Trump issue was investigated because those who did the investigation were attacked and feared for their lives.

  It is a good example but it is moving away from media bias.
