Funny isn't it that yahweh's organization needs Satan's world ($$$$) to to function correctly. Where was God when the Corvid emergency claimed the lives of hundreds of Witnesses. Satan's world had to provide the Vaccine to save Jehovah's people.

and the only means of salvation ------is the preaching work……... why would jehovah allow door to door preaching to stop for a whole year-----maybe longer?????.
all jehovah’s witnesses never noticed how dumb the door to door preaching work actually is.. jehovah is the greatest emergency responder.

The point is that society is changing and it is forcing actors and politicians to move in that same direction - there is no 'forcing' going on. Actors are using their free will to say crazy shit during their speeches. All they have to do is go up on stage, collect their award, thank their agent, then f**k off.
Ricky Gervais has another version of that statement. So actors should act and leaving the thinking to those who do it better.
It isn't muddled, those two things go hand in hand. "Woke" films don't draw big audiences. In an effort to get the ratings back they produce crummy remakes of old hits.
Would you consider Black Panther a Woke film? It might be an outlier
What about some "Some like it hot" from the late 50s? What is considered Woke in films today has been going one for decades.
Hollywood has forgotten that the first thing they need to do is entertain people - ding, ding, ding, I think we have a winner!
Hollywood is about making money, Box office hit. How many times have you seen good film that didn't do well in the box office. An example come to mind, Shawshank Redemption. It was entertaining but it still bombed
There are exceptions to the rules and that is why generalizing in this case does not take into considering all the factors.
I will say that part of the reason why the Oscars Bombed this year is partly due to the Pandemic. The same reason the latest James Bond film has been postponed again.

Development of a False Prophecy
by Ding inbased on wt history of repeated false prophecies, here is the way these things seem to develop:.
1. someone connects unrelated bible verses and comes up with a date for the end.. 2. this date is "confirmed" by outside information, such as pyramid measurements.. 3. they share this "hidden knowledge" with others.. 4. they develop a following of people who are excited to be the only ones on earth who understand "the deep things of god.".
5. they promote the date.. 6. people laugh them to scorn.. 7. the faithful cry "persecution" and wait expectantly.. 8. as the date approaches, they get more and more excited.. 9. when the date is imminent, leaders get worried and start to hedge their bets through cautionary language.. 10. when the date comes and goes, they come up with some explanation (adam-eve creation gap, no year 0, etc.

12. After several years go by, they lose followers are forced to decide whether to disband or start over.
13. They set a new date and attract new followers who aren't aware of their previous failures.
14. The cycle repeats.
This is very true, but the only difference now is new media and modern communication. They will rinse and repeat but the bleeding will not stop. They will rig the numbers like when the merged field service monthly reports to start counting tracts, invitations,etc. That will still not stop them losing numbers. Those at the top can see the decline but your average JW will just be happy to go along because he doesn't care much about the core beliefs.
The rinse and repeat creates apathy like "crying wolf".

Its obvious that people are annoyed that the entire general population is going under serious social restrictions to perhaps save the lives of 1% or less of the population.
most people didn't think that the pandemic will last this long. I wonder what percentages of people would have been lost to Corvid if there was no lock-down and people just had to wear mask in public?

road to nowhere30 minutes agoI have heard a few say they are not looking forward to going back to meetings. even with the drawbacks of zoom.
That is like someone leaving an abusive relationship and longing to go back because he/she is lonely and temporarily forgets the reason why he/she left in the first place. Elderly JWs are bored and will want to go back for the social interactions since, the Zoom things is just not cutting it. These same elderly ones will later appreciate Zoom when they have to travel at night or during bad weather.
Most JWs miss the social aspects but don't want the hassle of always travelling. If there is a mixture of Weekday Zoom and Weekend physical presence, that will really be blessings from Yahweh.
