If you watched certain news outlets you would be thinking America was so racist! People with swastikas, people attacking Asians and slurring one another. Of course there are some people that do this but it doesn’t represent what the country typifies.
Would you apply the same principle to the way minorities are painted by certain media outlet?

For the record I don’t know of any Trump supporters who paint swastikas, attack Asians and slur people.
I actually believe you. I just don't get why you wrote that in the context of the discussion

In reality how many people are painting swastikas? Attacking Asians and slurring people? It’s minuscule . It does not represent what the news media is trying to suggest.
That is what causes most of the issues when some situations are blown out of proportions by some news outlet. They sometimes spin it to make it appear worse than it actually is.
no clue how i got this.. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1trgavbqlx9e9qv7begvmp0742tpawg3vfkh1eifqepe/edit?usp=drivesdk.

(why) jehovah's witnesses can't cope with the real world____________________.
Being a JW is really a F@#ked up life.
Only ones that benefit($) is the Org.
It's a business and even those at the top are also victims of a corrupt system in which they found themselves. They don't have an easy way out even if they want to leave.
There is no question or debate the JWS religoius cult breaks up families.
This is so true and I see another side to the issue. Some families are already messed like powdered ready made-soup, just add water. Some JW family thrive and keep communication open as family is sacred. Then you have other families that are already with issues and being JW only makes things worse.
this post is from another ex jw site but the info is such a good read !

testimony of a jw elder and pioneermy youthful exposure to religious services was limited.
This is an old thread but the story is rather interesting
"Do you believe that the Watchtower Society is God's organization? Do you believe that the Society speaks as Jehovah's mouthpiece?" At that time I answered YES, because I still did believe it was God's organization -- but that it had become corrupt just as the Jewish religious system at the time of the Pharisees had become corrupt
They want you to say that the Jehovah speaks to the organization but they don't provide you any proof of divine intervention. At the same time, they say that Jehovah doesn't intervene in human affair in modern times.

I disagree completely that racism is on life support. Trump and his supporters have made things much worse than they used to be. Racists are emboldened and are more open in acts of racism (e.g., spraypainting swastikas, attacking Asians on the street, throwing around hateful slurs).
even if that is true, there is still a difference between that an Systemic Racism.
when i was a witness i knew what my beliefs were and could defend my views, even if it really was wrong.
i understood jw doctrines .
i could define what the faithful and discreet slave was.
In my ~50 years as a witness from birthI would say few people that are JWs today have any idea what they believe. And could not defend any of their beliefs if a gun was put to their head.
So true and that is why religion is about feelings and the sense of belong. Religion and facts/reason don't see eye to eye
good to see you again!
much discussion now about the fallout that is coming due to impacts of the pandemic combined with the long-term downward spiral of jw.org.
i am active as a pimo and my wife is pimi....much of our personal conversation and conversation with others in jw land focuses on how things will play out for jw.org in the next 12-24 months.
C.O.'s are a big part of keeping them in check, keeping local elders in line. There will be C.O.'s. They could reduce their numbers,
Some COs will be shaking in their boots right now
