JoinedI've never been a JW. I've always been an atheist. I had a visit from them, asking if I wasinterested in talking about religion/the Bible. I was, so I invited them in.They visited me regularly, trying to convert me for almost a year, while I tried to open their minds a little. I learned quite a bit about the Bible, and I think we both had a lot of fun. I didn't learn much about JW doctrine, since my questions and concerns were more to do with fundamentals (ie, does godexist?, is the bible a source of truth?, etc). I didn't realise till much later it's cult nature. I thought it was just christianity under another brand name. Anyway, they gave up on me, so I guess I won by default. I took it as a sign that I'd got through to them at least. The last visit was very mysterious. They basically told me they weren't comingback and left me with a scripture reference for me to look up once they were gone. I looked it up, and it said that I was corrupt and abominable! I thought we were friends, I thought they really liked and respected me, as I did them. But I found out, and came out of it unblemished.
