I think friends add friends to groups and admins invite people to groups. It's just two types of nomenclature for the same result, I believe.
Under the same member list tab I described above the Administrators are identified and you can see when they "add" someone and when they "invite" someone. Still, if they are the same, why the differentiation?

It's only a FB group, for crying out loud. It's not like anyone wants to see the volunteer list shredded.

With a reboot volunteers would jump right back in. Then "security clearances" could be in place (as they are now) from the outset. No "added to group"allowed.
But even if these measures were instituted, the bridge would still not be built.

And there is the delima. Was it or wasn't it and who can prove it with evidence and not hearsay? He said she said does not cut it.
Aren't the members that ask to join being screened and cleared?

AAWA has released a statement (I believe it was Cedar's article?) that stated from it's inception the group has always been secret. Being secret means nothing is placed on your newsfeed about the group. That being the case the questions beg to be answered.
Is AAWA flat out telling a lie about the "secret" status timeframe?
Or, as has been discussed repeatedly, was another "open" Facebook group using AAWA's graphics set up by an AAWA fan responsible?

jgnat, when I look through the Facebook groups I am a part of and go to the tab that displays all members I see that three phrases or possibilities are included under everyone's name:
Joe
Joined the group......
Joe
Was invited by ---------- on this date
Joe
Was added by ----------- on this date
Are invites and adds one in the same? I do not think so. I believe when an invite is sent their is a choice to accept or decline. When "added" there is not a choice.
It is a Facebook flaw in my opinion.

Later, I apologized for what you took as an attack on you personally even when I feel your preceding attack on me was much more scathing. You apologized as well and I thought we were done. Lost I never attacked you personally and I offered my apologies in the event you felt I was. Again I am sorry you feel that way. I do have a right to state my position and observations just like everyone else. I enjoy Simon's take on the issues and if it seems to you I am vascilating it is because I understand many of the points of concern and would also like to see them addressed. I will remain a supporter of AAWA and JWN and will listen openly to people who present their information in the way Simon has done.
Cedars has been attacked repeatedly on all of these threads in a "nasty" way by many. My stating that does not mean I am calling you out personally Lost.
Finally, and despite your claim, I will not take any credit for compelling these debates any further than it would happen of its own volition.

Simon that was a fair summation of the issues and is the type of critical view that should be helpful for AAWA.
There have been numerous threads within the "secret" AAWA group that have gone back and forth and they have not been deleted.
Without discussions, old wounds will keep festering. JWN and AAWA are both important to me personally and I would be disappointed if this escalated to the point that they become combatants.
