Stay At Home Moms/Dads
by cognac ini have a 3 and 1 year old.
hubby is a stay at home dad and i take care of the bills.
i have to, cause instead of working on his career when he was younger, he decided to pioneer- that is something that now i have to pay the price for which really sucks.. i feel that since i pay the bills, it's his job to cook and do all of the cleaning.

I spent the first 2 years of my daughters life as the stay at home dad. It was beautiful. Groceries, laundry and housework was done by 10 AM and the rest of the day was the beach, museums, zoo, lunch dates with other moms. I learned to be a great cook and dinner was always on the table. I missed those opportunities with my next two children, but let me tell you, as a single dad of three all that training was a life saver for me.
I'd sit down with a heart to heart and a few sessions of counseling. Unless you say something things will stay the same and get worse.
Have you cut him off from all intimacy and sex yet? Wouldnt blame you if you have. May as well have a trigger on it because its as powerful as a gun.

Seems odd that the neighbor could say nobody ever saw Holt and Heichel together yet his relatives told her he was also one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Something doesn't pan out there. Nobody from her congregation is saying anything about Holt being JW. I'm guessing the neighbor interviewed was confused about who was JW or the reporter mixed it up.
Police have released nothing about motive or backstory about Holt.

Why doesn't Watchtower front the Bond with their own cash? Why use a bondsman? Why leverage or offer property when they have billions of cash on hand? If cash never touches Candace's hands until the end as claimed about, why all the posturing by the WBTS?

I worked a few CAs in accounting, we were fortunate to bring in 8-10k for the weekend with around 1000 publishers. I thought $10 per publisher was great at the time.
In one Los Angeles area, the circuit assembly would be attended on average by about 3500 attendees. Without fail we would collect $12,000 for Saturday's session. Sunday we would give a talk about the "Needs of the Circuit" and explain that after operating expenses of X and X amount of dollars we were in the RED. AND THATS IT. Brother would walk off the stage. Everyone in the audience would think "OH crap I need to help out, I will drop a 20 in the box, no I will drop 2 20s in the box because I know not everyone is going to donate."
As a body of elders we always without fail agreed to send the surplus donations from the circuit to the WBTS' world wide work fund. What we never announced was how much was donated on Sundays.
We regularly sent $50,000 on to Brooklyn. We were one circuit in one state on one weekend. Multiply by 1000 every weekend all year long.

District Convention Donations?
$1,000,000 / 35,000 JWs = $28.57/person in attendance
Not hard to believe!
Thats right. Again there were stacks of pesonal checks that required us to make multiple receipts for tax purposes. Was not an easy task.
What will blow your mind is that the process of collecting this money from contribution boxes at the assembly was RAPID. If the assembly ended at 4:30 on Friday, we were gathered, sorted, counted, loaded and delivered for a late deposit withing 2 hours.

By the way the person who wrote this is nuts !
At the conventions of 35,000 in attendance we were depositing close to a million a day.
At conventions of 12,000 in attendance it was still close to half a million per day.
Delusional at best .
You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I am simply offering my first hand observations and knowledge.

I worked in the accounting for 10 years on the district level. A very conservative estimate of income from donations is 1.5 billion a year from congregation contribution boxes. At the conventions of 35,000 in attendance we were depositing close to a million a day. At conventions of 12,000 in attendance it was still close to half a million per day. There were many personal checks in the amount of 10k, 25k, and 50k at those conventions and we would speculate those publishers probably made that their donation for the year.
If WT made it public on JW(dot)ORG or through a letter to all congregations that they were going to suffer financial hardship from this specific court case, every publisher would toss in 10 extra bucks to the world wide work for the month. Quick extra 70 million in just one week or month.
Im surprised a complete financial write up on the WBTS has not been done. Despite the astute speculation from a number of sources that indicate the WBTS is hurting financially, it is my personal guess that their total worth at the present time is 1 trillion dollars.

When you were a JW, Did you think Prayers did any good?
by tresdecu inthe missing 21 year old woman in oregon got me thinking...so many jws comment on her fb page 'praying for you'...'constant daily prayers' etc.
what is the point?
i know it is a natural human emotion, to want to contribute in some small way when something bad happens.

But if she turns up dead, Does that mean Jah. didn't answer their prayers?
Apparently yes. Or there was no Jah listening in the first place. But no worries right? Because
Now all the ones praying for her to be found are dismissing it with a hope in the "resurrection"
It appears sweet on the surface and everyone smiles and nods but deep down none of these words help those closest to her.
Her husband will fade away from the organization and so will many of her family members.
