Are you saying that the fact (that the survey is biased) is over-weighted by the possibility that it will affect people who might come out of the WT organization?
If so, that means that the survey is really propaganda - not accurate data. I do not understand this kind of logic, and I do not believe that such shenanigans actually help honest people to exit the Watchtower. We should always be honest in our approach - as honest as we can be. At the very least, the survey should carry a disclaimer which makes it clear that the main rank file of the JW population were not equally represented. James my point is that all of the websights mentioned will be viewed as "biased" anti watchtower propaganda by some viewers. However they all have value to the casual internet researcher or JW that is looking for information. Most researchers know that these websites are going to be motivated by an agenda to expose the Watchtower and therefore likely to be "biased" Reading through the questions posed on JWSurvey alone is enough to start someone on the path of learning the TTATT whether they participate and hit the send button or not, many of whom are no doubt Rank and File. Reveiwing material from any of the other sites can have the same affect. We are also talking about faders or fringe JWs seeking out these websights. Many of them stuck in the cult for decades? How honest was their approach while they were practicing cognitive dissonance? The fact they even look at these sites shows they are now trying to take an honest approach to their belief system.

My Final Goodbye
by Lady Lee ini want to start by saying i will not participate in discussion here about my resignation as a moderator at jwn.. simon please consider this as my resignation from that position.. i have been posting on this board for almost 12 years.
i know some of you a lot, others a little and some not very well at all.
i have remained here for those of you who have needed support as you make the transition out of the wts, who needed someone to listen to your experiences of abuse at the hands of jehovah's witnesses, and to both laugh and cry with you as you progress out of the watchtower society.. we know that we have all experienced the cruelty of abuse of one kind or another.

Didn't Simon originally shut down the Cedar's bashing thread? When did Lady Lee come into play. Did she shut down other threads other than the one Simon did?
I also recall Simon posting all AAWA threads in one concise post. Were these previously blocked by Simon or LL?

Cedar's has repeatedly edited his articles in the past whether for clarification or otherwise. I'm sure if he felt differently he would exclude what he wanted.

"Ray Franz, Randy Watters, Barbara Anderson, Simon Green and his wife, Angharad – real heroes, who in my mind will take centre stage in the history books as those who bravely stood up to the Watchtower."
That's quite the company of peeps to be included in.

Kallam, on another thread you posted:
I've run into Cedars in the past and none of this surprises me at all.
Now here you post:
I'm not even fully convinced that "Cedars" is not a massive hoax persona.
You also seem to be a re registered JWN user?:
He reminds me very much of a poster called YouKnow back in the day on this forum.
LL's goodbye letter has been analyzed by people with an agenda. In no way was any of it poison as you suggest.
nicest poison-pen letter disguised as a good-bye

JWsurvey and the surveys must have value in the most general sense. Like JWN, watchtowerdocument, JWFacts, Silentlambs, JWStruggle, Freeminds...all of them expose WT. All of them could be pigeon holed as having "no value" to a certain genre of viewer and many will dismiss them all as biased.
The fact remains, still many more review these sites in their efforts to research. The information presented in any context may help them to awaken to the TTATT.

It may make you feel good to think that the Watchtower is cowering in some secret War Room and coming up with strategies on how to oppose Cedars Facebook team (any dissenting internet arena), but it's simply not happening.
Guess again.
they have been warned against for their entire lives.. an organized Apostate "organization" trying to destroy their faith.
This is strong evidence
Thanks for your first post. Welcome.

MUST READ: Books for Young JWs - a Required Reading List
by Oubliette ini've been contemplating a list of works of fiction that should be read by every young jehovah's witness, (12 - 18 years old).
the goal is to plant seeds of truth and critical thinking skills which could ultimately invoking cognitive dissonance and help them wake up to the truth about "the truth" (ttatt).
my idea is an adaptation of steven hassan's approach of not attacking a cult members beliefs directly, but rather indirectly by getting them to look at other similar belief systems and social structures, in this case fictional ones that mirror many of the destructive, oppressive features of jehovah's witnesses.

Brainstorming about something that all of us would be interested in
by will-be-apostate ini started to feel this kind of devotion when someone comes to the conclusion that the ultimate goal of his life is to make this cult disappear from the history.. so, i`ve been thinking, how could we yes guys, we, ordinary people complete such kind of project.. why dont we make an organization against them?
we could maintain it from donations, maybe start printing our own magazines about how they are misguiding people.we definitely should sign up for google adwords to advertise anti-jw sites.we need to draw attention on the facts that we have luckily come to know.
these are some of what crossed my mind during the recent weeks.

My folks neither helped me with college nor encouraged me to go. How are your grades? There are unbelievable opportunities for you to take advantage of to get assistance with tuition. There are city colleges and vocational training schools that can also act as stepping stones to get you well on your way to the education you desire.
Take some writing classes, theology and theoretical physics classes. Develope skills and a knowledge base that you can use to start an individual expose of what you have experienced growing up in the organization and ways to help others transition away from it. All you have to do is sweep the internet to discover how many ExJWs have become adept at this agenda.
You may speculate about massive violence against Watchtower, but really nothing would be accomplished exept to brand ExJWs as terrorists. In the end, Watchtower would point to it as persecution of "God's chosen ones"
You are young and have many doors open to you. Bounce ideas around on this forum and allow so many intelligent people to guide you.
