  Should I allow my mom to see the grandchildren?

  today crying my mother calls me to beg to see my children... should i let her?

  i feel that if you can speak abusive of your own son and wife and shun the.

  That is a tricky situation, my husband and I were in your situation a little over a year ago. We did agree to let our kids go visit my parents & my siblings, thier aunts and uncles one day when they were all together. But my kids came home with an atitude that it was us who had the problem that if we just came back to meetings we could all be a family again. That was more than enough for my husband to put a stop to any further visits with any of them, they just can't be trusted. you did not list your kids age's but mine were both under 10 they just can't be expected to fully understand at that age. Luckily my family has not made anymore attempts to see my kids, probebly wrote them off by now,and now all completely shun us. Sadly my suggestion would be to not allow it. You would forever kick yourself with regret if they ever got a "hold" of your kids, with their Jw thinking.

  Starting over, this would of been the one I was assigned had I gone...wish I had now ;) my parents were there, it was the Grand Rapids area, Lowell, Ionia, Hastings are some that would of been at this particular one...I recognised some of the people in it.....

  you all should be ashamed of your egotistical selves.

  how can you leave god's organization to celebrate the work of satan the devil?

  it just goes to show you how jehovah's christian witnesses are correct about how persons will leave the truth for their own selfish desires.. first off, christmas is a pagan holiday and it proves no spirit with the almighty jehovah and his son, the christ.

  thesaint, how humble of a name, we're not dumb here, we know December 25th is not Jesus's actual Birthday, we've done plenty of research and critical thinking, that's why we're here. Hopefully you do the same and come here again soon with a sincere nonjudgemental atitude.. Until then you should report to your local elders and confess that you have come to this site and took the time to even make a post. ;)

  The elders came by and my DA letter

  the lead elder co of my hall said he was going to push for a jc meeting.

  i could tell all along all hes interested in is protecting his god the org.. so i'm 90% sure now of going on the offesive and first having a family meeting telling them i'm offically quitting and how its going to play out and how i'll will be shunned even though i have commited no sin.

  i also may explain a little of why and how i came to this decision with out bashing the org to much out of respect for my wife.

  I think this is an excellent letter, and I hope you find some relief in writing it, although I'm also with Rebel and Abiblestudent, I hope you don't totally regret sending in this letter down the road, it's such a permenent thing to do, why not consider just to file it away for now, and simply become inactive and ask them kindly to leave you alone. my spouse and I did this and although we are getting shunned pretty much like we were d/f'd or d/a'd we still can have some contact with certain family members who want it, and also it gives a bad wittness to our non Jw family & friends when they see how we are being treated and we tell them we just simply became inactive, that's all. It kinda feels like our way of exposing the Jw's nonchristian behaviors, which I'm sure gets back to my family and must irritate the heck out of them. Just my thoughts & experience anyway. Best wishes to you and your family.

  My First Birthday!!!!!

  my birthday isn't until the end of july but yesterday i got my first birthday gift in the mail.

  my best friend (stubborn disbeliever) sent me my gift early.

  i know what it is, but seeing it all wrapped up and knowing on my birthday i can open it...it really struck a cord with me.

  Happy Birthday also! my hubby and I are just startig to celebrate Birthdays also ,along with our kids. It was really weird for me the first time last year, like I was being naughty...soo silly. I never could understand why wedding annivarsary's could be celebrated but not a Birthday, what's the diff? Life is precious we should celebrate it! I've been to two "worldy" birthday parties this past few months and nothing crazy at all happened, just very nice gatherings.

  My husband and I would like to meet Flipper...he seems really cool...would love to meet up on one of his get togethers sometime. On the way out seems like a really cool guy too....

  i think with every year their are more and more newbies that identify with this site , would you like to say " hi ", if you have joined in the last 12 months ?.

  does anybody have a graph of the numbers of newbies who have joined in say the last 5 years ?.

  Of course, very much so. It's a natural human need to feel affection. It's not healthy physically or mentally to suffer a lack of affection.
