The Farmer and His Ass
by Sunnygal41 inone day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well.
the animal cried piteouslyfor hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

Do All JW Children Suffer From Psychological Damage? The First Bit..
by Englishman in..and if so, what form does such psychological damage take?.
my own experience is that damage does occur.. i was 8 years old when my parents became converted, so i wasn't exactly a totally white canvass on which my personality could be painted.
but i was a light shade of grey, so the impact of wt teaching was still quite considerable.. i think the most damage that i suffered was in the area of guilt and unworthiness.

He would have been still known as a JW to outsiders even if he was DF.
I don't want to jump the gun, but maybe he was DF and still believed it was the truth, which lead him t to take his own life because of guilt "living in Sin".
Or it could have been cronic depression.
Side note
Simon (if you read this) your board I am certain as helped to save many lives. I know it helped me to sort mayself out....Thanks.

What other scams do people fall for?
by sleepy inwhat other scams apart from religion do people fall for?
i think a lot of so called alternative medicines could be put under the label of scam including homeopathy, crystal healing, aromatherapy and quite a few others.
spirit mediums, and astrologers are reprehensible also for taking people for a ride.

by mouthy inhow sorry i was to hear from dansk-he is going through a very difficult time.. i would like all prayers, thoughts, please keep this in mind ____ for me!!!!.
the sad news he has cancer.it is lymphoma!!!
they are waiting on the results of the biopsy before determining treatment..... he didnt want me to say anything at first- as he feels you all have your own problems & he didnt want to upset anyone-because he says "they are dear friends".
-

That makes perfect sense........
So far, today has been a good day. I keep on progressing as much as I can. I try to steer clear of upset and anxiety. I surround myself with positivity. I try not to dwell on my illness, but on the cure.
Keep thinking that way mate.
