Going to my first ever birthday party today and I just put some "special" brownies in the oven. Also got really drunk last night and saw (and handled) some very nice boobs. I'm inactive, not df'd.

My ex had beautiful braids, and as a mixed couple we got a lot of looks by JW's. In the black halls we were in everyone loved her braids but some of the whiter halls they acted like it was part of a drug culture or something. I personally loved them.

Question for you atheists...
by MrFreeze inor agnostics too.
are you open about your beliefs (or lack thereof i should say)?
when people talk about anything religious, do you mention that you don't believe in god?

-NewChapter,
I suppose I mean that I don't want to have to get in a discussion on it and blow someones mind and take away something important in their lives. I don't like to make waves. I hated preaching to people when I was an active JW, and I'm not gonna do now that I've faded.

New JW chain-email going around
by FaithfulBrother inapparently, the society knows exactly when the great tribulation is going to break out, but they're only letting the public know through subliminal messages in their images.
here's a new chain letter that's being passed around between witnesses:.
(daniel 2:34, 35, 44, 45).

Do you eat blood?
by laverite inabstaining from blood is somewhat trickier for jws than i might have imagined.
meat glue is apparently widely in use, and it is made from the blood products from a variety of animals.
i never heard of meat glue before today.. oh my.

I hunt some of my own food. JW's that know me ALWAYS ask if I bled the meat properly. I ask them if they ask their butcher the same question.

Will the IRS Investigate the Watchtower Society?
by ABibleStudent inif you feel that the wtbts is breaking a tax law(s), you can send a letter to investigate the wtbts to the irs to:.
department of the treasuryinternal revenue servicemc 4910 dal1100 commerce streetdallas, tx 75242 .
the irs will investigate complaints about the wtbts, but it will not investigate the wtbts without compliants being sent to the irs.

Would be nice, but I think the expansive legal team this religion has is VERY careful to check local laws to make sure they fly within the radar. They will do anything to protect their money from the govt. The whole reason they switched to the donation arrangement was to skirt the law. Just because they want the R&F to be dumb and uneducated does not mean they do not employ very educated powerful lawyers to do their dirtywork.

I am between beliefs right now. I have been agnostic for many years and at times lean towards being an atheist as many do. For now, I have a hard time dismissing God as a possibility completly.
But as I was once a firm believer, more out of respect for others and their beliefs I usually keep quiet about my feelings on the matter unless it comes up, which is rare.

When I got deleted I did not give them the pleasure of looking me in the eye as they said it. I wasn't going to sit there and have everyone look over at me at the same time and feel sorry for me. The next few years they kept telling me they wanted tomake me a MS if I would do this and that. I looked him in they eye and said "Why do you think I would EVER want to be reappointed?" I just wanted to be a normal brother without any titles. When I was trying to fade, it was tough because they were giving me assignments and such to keep me busy.
When I got "talked to" for sleeping at a female friends apartment, I asked if I was being reproved, they said no, since there was no evidence of wrongdoing they would not do anything, but that I still should not do that and it was a bad example. I said that I felt bad doing mikes and literature then and shouldn't do them. They didn't want to even do that, but I knew it was my ticket to freedom and I pushed so they took all my privledges away.
That was the last month I turned in a time slip. Consider this removal a gift.
