  I was HAPPY as a JW, how did I get here?

  Generally, bethelites are given passes to invite friends or family as kind of a gift to the bethelites. But some get personal invitations from higher ups at bethel as well. And any who serve on any of the corporations.

  The Disfellowshipping Arrangement, New Book, Hope It Helps

  hello, i renounced my belief/faith in the watchtower society a few years ago, though i am still a bible believer.

  since departing from them, i have studied the bible aptly to try to understand it's true teachings.

  i decided to start publishing essays in the hope that my research may help enlighten other disillusioned jw's by seeing alternative viewpoints, or at least pointing them in a direction that would help unlock their minds when studying the bible.

  Do you plan to sell this on kindle as well? I'd like to buy it, but I'd rather have it on my kindle so I don't have those sort of books lying around. I still have witness friends over from time to time and don't like leaving evidence of my apostacy (or hedonism) laying around. Thanks for writing this book.

  Make Them Prove That You Were Baptized!

  this might not work for everyone, but it might for some.. if a person faces disfellowshipping, the person should make the elders prove that they are baptized!.

  as far as i know, baptism records are not sent to bethel.. without two witnesses to the event (and the witnesses have to remember seeing the person immersed), and no photos, there would be no proof.. if someone did this, the elders would of course contact bethel for instructions, but what could they do?.

  it would put a stop to the elders proceeding with any action..

  also this would only work if you had never pioneered, done rbc work or bethel or appointed as a ms or elder because these would all be clear evidence of your baptism

  SAD news about OOMPA......

  our friend, oompa, has passed away.

  just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

  it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

  This is so sad, its about all I could think about all day. Please, anyone out there that has similar thoughts, see this thread and realize how many people care that you may not even realize and seek help, seek friends to talk to. This is such a tragedy.
