True, there is no proof that the WT is Illuminate, but there is proof that they are damaging for the people that comes in contact with them.

by SnowQueen ini've been reading around this subject of late and it seems to make a lot of sense.
i'm wondering if anyone is convinced and/or has seen anything that can substantiate or corroborate the 'facts' set out in these arguments.. http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/bloodlines/russell.htm.
i was particularly fascinated to read the following:.

I Believe Catholicism And Its Trappings Are Silly, Strange & Weird!!!
by minimus inmy italian friend loves going to the "feasts" that occur in italy, boston or nyc.
these feasts feature a "saint" with dollar bills pinned around her and they parade the saint in a long procession and chant "viva (whomever)".
they are quite serious about this and are proud to talk about the past generations of observers who appreciated the events.

Rbih, what is moral? On what should we base our policies? If you lived in a community that believed scamming you was ok, would it make them right the fact that they were the majority? What is it that gives moral authority?

Europe is doing fine…in France you can not wear a cross if you are a public servant, in Germany you can not circumcise your own son, in Spain the Pope visits and Christians that pacifically came to listen to him get mobbed to the point that the police has to intervene, in Denmark a paper publishes some cartoons that are offensive for Muslims because it makes a lot of sense in terms of freedom of speech (without defending the violent reaction that this caused in any way, but why do it in the first place?)… Do you see a problem growing there?

As it happens, the ones who promised to free people from the evil influence of religion have been so far the deadliest and cruellest of all.
Politicians have their own religion: power.

Without having all the details, I would say their problem is more related to how they do politics than to religion itself.

NC, who are “they“? In Uganda, I mean.
Politics rule the world, and they seem to follow their own religion.

Rbih, you are biased about this subject and this has shown in your previous posts.
You are comparing Catholicism with Muslim Fundamentalism here, and Muslim Fundamentalism can not even be compared with other more moderate forms of Islam, much less so with Christianity.

The only thing we know for sure is that they exercise too much control over people’s private lives.
This is the fact, everyone can speculate about the reasons why.

spirituality and religion - what are the differences?

Spirituality is personal, but religion is social and public by definition, and it should be respected. It doesn’t belong to anyone to dictate if and how you worship your God.
