Hi New22day. I dont post here much but your post touched a nerve with me. Your story is very similar to my story. Everything said on here is 100% true. jgnat gave me some good advice when I first posted. Yes me & this bozo were both in our 40's and he lied, kept me a secret, never met his family and it was one big fat lie after another. Took 6 months before I found out he was a jw and only coz I had nagging doubts and googled his name and a couple of posts on here came up. Lets say someone on here sure had it in for him for wrecking his marriage. I still never confronted him with this but have spoken privately to this person who told me bluntly to get my butt out of it! We were together a year which is not long but long enough and still now I have my moments when I wish things had been different. He has never once apologised or explained anything. He has now moved onto pastures new and I actually have some sympathy for his wife. Yes that was another small detail he omitted to say. It will take time but you will come out of it. I badly wanted to go to his KH and confront him but it would do no good, they will only believe him. He lived about 150 miles from me so from his point of view I would never just turn up on his doorstep one evening to surprise him. I could list all the excuses he came out with but its just too boring for words but suffice to say he had every illness going. With me nearly every rule was broken, in his jw life he was the model COBE, but he could lie for England. I was totally taken in but doubt if I will be the last in his line of conquests. Will take time but forget him, move on, find a friend you can cry on their shoulder, get drunk, but have FUN!! Life too short.

they just refuse to get trapped! (mice)
by nuthouse escapee init's now "game on" between me and the mice.
my landlady put 15 traps down throughout their apartment on the first floor.
in 2 weeks i caught the 5 not so bright mice.

One thing that worked every time for me was baiting the trap with pieces of chocolate. They could not get enough of it. I used humane traps and released them in the woods nearby but the little buggers returned. Was not so humane next time!

Do you ever make a toast (raise your glass, I mean, not put bread in a toaster)?
by sd-7 ini had quite the fun time at my wedding reception with the jw family so worried that my non-jw aunt was going to do a toast.
unlike them, i do have regard for not offending the conscience of others, so of course i wasn't going to allow that under the circumstances.
i mean, if they really thought i was going to let them do that, why did they even come in the first place?

The 'ex' refused ever to say "cheers" - it was always "7 years"! Even when I first meet him and had no idea of the lies that were to follow. He always used to say you had to look the person in the eye and say 7 years and if not you would get 7 years bad sex!!

Can a long distance relationship really work between jws?
by crazymeee ini met this guy about a monnth ago on instagram we kik and skype call everyday since he lives 2000 miles away.
he tells me that hed like to be my boyfriend for now were taking it slow but im really not so sure im really skeptical about anything but so far hes showed me i can trust him.
i tell im i dont want to be in a relationship where both couples know there not gonna last but there still together just to have someone.

If you are not jw and he is then run as fast as you can as EOM said! I had a long distant "relationship" ha ha ha and we are almost neighbours compared to your 2000 miles. We had only 200 miles between us. Will be amazing for a while then his guilt will set in. But whatever feels right for you. Best of luck.

James - Ever get the chance to go to Top Gear (do realise where you are!) do it. Got some tickets last year and was awesome. Filmed in old aircraft hanger and just brilliant and yes Richard Hammond is tiny! Clarkson does not give a sh*t what he says!
