Can a long distance relationship really work between jws?

i met this guy about a monnth ago on instagram we kik and skype call everyday since he lives 2000 miles away.

he tells me that hed like to be my boyfriend for now were taking it slow but im really not so sure im really skeptical about anything but so far hes showed me i can trust him.

i tell im i dont want to be in a relationship where both couples know there not gonna last but there still together just to have someone.

If you are not jw and he is then run as fast as you can as EOM said! I had a long distant "relationship" ha ha ha and we are almost neighbours compared to your 2000 miles. We had only 200 miles between us. Will be amazing for a while then his guilt will set in. But whatever feels right for you. Best of luck.

Anyone else watch programming on BBC America?

i've gotten into a show called "copper", on sunday nights.

it's a detective show set in 1860's new york.

i've been thinking about checking out some other programs advertised on the network..

James - Ever get the chance to go to Top Gear (do realise where you are!) do it. Got some tickets last year and was awesome. Filmed in old aircraft hanger and just brilliant and yes Richard Hammond is tiny! Clarkson does not give a sh*t what he says!

Being a non jw and after reading everything on this site last couple of months and reading this thread and even though I may not understand a lot of it (or probably never will) it has had me hooked. How they can tread people like this I will never understand. I have total admiration of you and how you dealt with this and can I wish you all the best for the future. Have recently discovered "the ex" sat on these and totally screwed up the life of someone on this site a few years ago. to the point of him making threats against "the ex". Makes me wonder how may more lifes he ****** up. RayPublisher - I salute you! Thank you.

Met some of the TNG actors, Michael Dorn (Worf) is a big chap and Marina Sirtis tiny!

00DAD - Definitely an ex. Just stirs up all these feelings. I read the posts on here and think I am so lucky as never got involved in the jw part of his life and compared to most on here I have been very lucky. That said I can relate to the controlling part of it. Being a COBE he knows just what to say/do to make me feel crap and useless. I need to be stronger and not reply/answer. I know this is the way he is being controlling. He says jump and I ask how high. Thanks for your advise.

ps did a search on here for him and looks like he has annoyed someone else in the past.....

Nuthouse Escapee - My JW ex used to use 'the silent treatment' on me. Worked for a long time, I would always cave. Then I woke up and realized this was a lack of unconditional love and disrespectful. It's been a valuable learning experience.

Exactly what the ex did to me. I am still struggling with the control he had over me and today a bad day - has been in touch!! All good intentions out the window. Hate myself for the way he makes me feel and his control still.
