In some (European) countries there is no freedom of speech at all. Countries like France, Germany & Austria have strict rules about what is allowed to tell other people. In Germany it is against the law not to agree with what happened at the Nurnberg trials in 1945/1946. They blamed Germany for the murder on 15.000 Polish officers but it were actually the Russians who did it. Telling so could bring you in prison. David Irving, a UK historian who uses only original German sources was brought in prison in Austria for telling the truth. Germar Rudolph, a German Phd chemist was brought in prison after proving that the gassing in Auschwitz on Jews never could have happened in the 'original' gas chamber (which was actually build by the Polish & Russians in 1947). Over 35.000 books in Germany are forbidden to be sold or printed. Revisionists are not allowed to have a different view about what happened during WW2.

Freedom of speech?
by The Rebel inattending my boys parents evening it was mentiond they were to study the " diary of anne frank".
( he is 10 years old) i pointed out to the teacher that having read the book, in my option the book was not written entirely by anne frank, and i would educate my boy on why i believe this to be so.. in my mind this was a totally reasonable responce by me, but it has resulted in the head-master of the school wanting to meet with me.
i think it wrong that an educational system will i suspect meet with me and presumably suggest my options on the " anne frank diary" constitute hate speech, as nothing could be further from the truth.. freedom of speech is never absolute, but at what point do you think it reasonable and justified?

Evidently, some parts of the book were written with ballpoint. Ballpoints (made by BIC) were not sold until after WW2. -

Korean News : CoC in Korean
by AntiEntropy inhi bros.. after my father's publishing his book, "15 questions after 40 years of jw" , many ex-jw bros in korea became motivated to rush to the coc korean project.
however any secular project needs a fund eventhough it's a not-for-profit.
fortunately, a bunch of bros decided to donate generously $300~$7,000 to this unprofitable business.

Field service in Germany
by Ben131895 ini left the organization 34 years ago but are still interested how the developments are.. when i stopped working 13 years ago (i am dutch) we moved to germany, just across the border since houses were 50% cheaper than in holland and the germans are a more polite people.
we live in a little town with 20.000 people.. in holland we didn't see the witnesses too often, perhaps two times a year.. in germany (at least in my little town) i have not seen the witnesses in all these 13 years.
they are standing in the shopping center and most of the time also at the railway station with a trolly.

In Holland we didn't see the witnesses too often, perhaps two times a year.
In Germany (at least in my little town) I have not seen the witnesses in all these 13 years. They are standing in the shopping center and most of the time also at the railway station with a trolly. Also, nothing in my post box.
Do the ex-JW's in Germany recognize, do they have the same experience?

some people liked it and asked him if they could purchase one.. in his last vlog (#111) he is advertising it and mentioned the link www.apostee.com, based in the us.
comments attached to vlog # 110 mentioned the fact that this company will close in april and that the business will be continued by cedars itself, who has also a stock of anti-witness items.. besides that, he was not the owner of jwsurvey.org, but since january 16, 2016 he is.. it looks (as mentioned before by simon in an earlier thread), this guy is making a living from his activism, a paid career.. one should seriously question his true motives, demonstrated in his activism.

One should seriously question his true motives, demonstrated in his activism. My opinion is that honest activism & commercial acting are not a trustworthy marriage.

Comparison too severe?
by stirred but not shaken inthe other night i watched a documentary about hitler's germany involving valkyries.
it had to do with the "resistance" movement and the attempt to assassinate hitler to stop his madness.
those involved were elite officers in the military, and there were many and they were often prominent, barons, counts, etc.

After killing the men, directly involved the same day, including Count Stauffenberg, the hunt for those who might have knowledge or had sympathy never stopped. The next 8 months, until the end of the regime, some 4.000 people were convicted and hanged. There was also hypocrasy. General Field Marshall Rommel, who had no direct involvment, was given the choice to take a poisin pill, which he did, rather than put up to trial. Then there was a state funeral for him, reporting to the German people, he had fallen in battle.
