I understand that completely..... As a witness for many years, keeping away from most normal people who I didn't have a reason to be with ( the " truth " ) and seeing them as ultimately corrupting, which they are not , left me socially lost and awkward, always feeling the odd one out, always seeing people through suspicious eyes, and yet when you she'd the bubble of delusion you see that there are very many beautiful people out there, it's just learning how to filter things properly, that's a skill the world learnt a long time ago but we are generally uneducated in this respect and it takes time to understand that people can love you for what you really are and not your spiritual status, but just for you , I wish you best wishes and please don't give up because there are very many of us out here who know and feel exactly the same as you .

i had barely any friends at all growing up a jw kid & absolutely no interaction with "worldly" people or any guys whatsoever.
i have had a relationship of sorts with a guy for 4.5 months now, but i'm so clueless!

I would just like to know at what point will witnesses worldwide wake up to the fact that just about everything that can be sold is being sold, and that this implies a massive contraction in the organisation that cannot be explained other than its all been made up , they must be putting their cognitive dissonance in overdrive to explain it away.
Hell will someone wake up I feel like shaking them for their own good.
The society is running out on them and leaving them like it did in 1975 ,
but now to just reemerge as an online only religion..... I was in since 76 and I can hardly recognise what is left, the old stalwarts I remember would be turning in their graves. It really is the end of an era .

From yesterday WT, don't have kids and if you do then don't see them often nor the grandkids either
by purrpurr inunbelievable paragraph in yesterday's watchtower was "encouraging" the sheep to not have kids.
most of their growth comes from the born ins and they are still on about not having kids?.
then it went on to "encourage" those that do have kids or grandkids not to spend to much time with them and instead to spend their time serving kingdom interests!.

I noticed this too , in fact I was waiting for paragraph 17 to see what would be said and no one mentioned the not having children or not getting married, they just concentrated on the grandparents bit .... Not even the conductor brought it out .
So either they have mentally rejected this or were embarrassed by its stupidity. this is inner change going on I think .

As much as I'd like that to be all true, I'm afraid most of it doesn't ring true to me, not yet anyway, and if it had got to that stage I think we'd all know that the wtbts was very near its end . But something soon has got to break and like a contagion in the Old Testament it will probably break out across the board.... I think a lot of it will be to do with the power of the Internet to inform,
some years ago a fine outstanding elder or so everyone in the congregation thought, all of a sudden gave up the " truth " and left , seems like he was having major doubts about the " truth" and, while he looks fine on the outside, inside his doubts were eating him away until his faith just collapsed........ That was in the 90s when the Internet was taking off and coincidentally he worked in IT .
Now everyone is able to look on the net so what damage is being done overall to the faithful?

disturbing is the ramping up of hatred and shunning towards those who have faded, especially if such ones according to the watchtower are living in sin, but have not been found guilty as yet by the judicial process.
certainly of the criteria of guilt, is talking against the gb, which i personally come under.

I think that watchtower has spotted the obvious loophole in their quest for total mind control and is doing its best to close it ..... There must must be many thousands who know how to play the system and are living two separate lives quite successfully without bringing upon themselves the ire of the organisation. in my view they are peeved about this and wish to make someone say like myself who has no problems with the individual brothers and sisters but who disagrees with the policies of the organisation and who only attends once a month, into 3rd class citizens,
such a peevish and spiteful religion at times. There's really no need for it .
It will only drive people away in the end.

"The Bunker" WT Conventions 2016 (Gag Me)
by Poztate inin the very near future the gang will be down in a bunker,cellar awaiting the police,military to break in and take them away to camps or executions .
(paranoid much) this is the foretold "prophecy" of the governments turning on religion and saving them for last.since the couple portrayed as simplifying their life by getting rid of a lot of material things is shown to be (about) the same age in the bunker we know it must be any minute now that it will happen.
i have been out for over 35 years and things seem to be getting more bizarre each year.. when did this doctrine really become main stream?

i keep thinking you can only cry wolf so often, about once a decade seems about the norm , the R and F never seem to catch on , I'm just so glad of this forum is here and at least here people can see the lunacy for what it is ...... Plain old simple scaremongering.

I think that they are the named Benificiaries of the Henrietta Reily trust and as such have no say in that , in other words someone has named them to take the money when dividends are due , they still take the money though and must know the source of it . I think this is so but anyone correct me if I'm wrong please. -

Joy has been there and done it all, this interview is well worth listening to , it really does reinforce a lot of the opinions on this board , I would definitely recommend it, especially the part where joy says that the organisation has no loyalty for anything you do for them, I would concur with that entirely. -

theres a lot of them but what struck me was the very similar mindsets and the way the internet made them start to question from a critical thinking point of view their own faith , it was just like another brand of the exact same thing and these people were experiencing the same thoughts as we get when we start to leave/question the "truth ",.
the main difference seems t be that jw shunning is totally merciless and never ending, and no real forgiveness takes place unless you cave in .

If God was truly amongst the jw congregation, do you think he would really treat vulnerable people, misguided or lost people in this harsh and inhuman manner? And furthermore if he was among them and backing them is he apparently approving it ?
Jesus allowed people to walk away if they so desired ,as time moves forward it's becoming more and more clear that this practice is very very wrong.
