Now that we have fully explored the intricacies of mounting blocks, should we continue with a discussion of stud chains, lunge whips and balling guns?

by notsureofmyself inwhen i first checked out this board i also thought it was a board for active witnesses.

YO, TR, listen up. You obviously missed the initial thread concerning mounting blocks.
Now, Waiting is convinced that a mounting block is some sort of sexual apparatus. Remember, however, that she is a Southerner (you know how they are).
A mounting block is simply a wooden platform (or in this case a sturdy plastic block with two steps) used to stand on while getting on a horse. Horses are tall (even my small Peruvian), knees are old....knees hurt....horses complain when you stand beside them futilely attempting to put your foot in a stirrup that hangs somewhere near ear level (or at least it seems that high). I can no longer lift my foot that high, nor will the knees allow me to hoist myself up onto the horse. Therefore, I climb my little plastic steps, place my foot in the stirrup, and get on the horse (that is unless he decides that the mounting block is actually a predator in a hard plastic shell...in which event he moves rapidly sideways away from the mounting block, and my questing foot....leaving me hanging in midair).

Waiting, is your husband being good to you? I mean, you keep talking about my mounting block, and the Big Bang......should we send him some hints about romantic evenings or something?
Now don't tell me you never heard of Mt. Carmel. Sugar? What sugar? The donuts have to be chocolate frosted....didn't everyone tell you that?
Why are you confused? I'm not confused. I'm never confused. Am I?

Well, Notsure, it certainly took you long enough to get here. Ah, well, I should be used to this from you....right?
AhHah.....not to spook you or anything, but I'm the "good cop" in the time-honored "good cop/bad cop" scenario with Notsure. (hehehehe)
Ang.....shown her my mounting block? My dear, Notsure taught me how to USE my mounting block!
7, yes, we have many, many adventures. Perhaps we'll share them....if you're nice to us.....or at least nice to me.

Why 7, what could possibly be the problem with a mounting block?

Simon, who cares if the web cam is too big. I think it would be quite interesting if you were to start bustling around with cameras and wires and stuff. Should get some good reactions, don't you think?

Carmel.....MEN!!! Of COURSE Waiting knows about the mountain. She simply chose to ignore it. When those of the male gender cast aspersions on a female's sugar quotient, they should be very careful that their screen names do not leave them open to a retort. If she hadn't picked up on it there would have been a problem.
As far as "blond moments".......once again, watch what you say, boy....or we blond Mensans will be forced to deal with you in our own inimitable fashion.
Got any good ideas, 7? (hehehehehe)

Frenchy, the example you mention is exactly the kind of abuse of a good law that I was referring to earlier.
The women in question need to be qualified to do the job. For that matter, many men would be unable to pick up a large, injured man. It's all about abilities and being given a chance to use them.
I'm not the strongest woman in the world, but I can stack 60 lb. bales of hay and haul 50 lb. bags of feed when necessary (I've done the 100 lb bags, but after hauling one or two of them, your arms simply refuse to work anymore LOL). There have been times when my daughter has come down with one of her boyfriends, and they've been unable to hoist even one bale of hay.
Prior to laws about discrimination and affirmative action, women would have never even gotten a chance to get that job....even if they could do it as well as a man. However, the abuse comes in when an unqualified person is given a job simply because they meet some sort of minority guideline. If the person is qualified, however, they deserve a chance.
I do agree that these laws need adjustment. At this point in time, the people being discriminated against in many cases ARE the white males.

H20 Never Knew what Hit Them
by HAL infirst off, we want to thank everyone who emailed us in response to our last post.
yes, your concerns are being addressed, and what went on at the annual meeting was only the first step.. h2o and many similar sites were thrown in disarray as they were forced to admit that they were blindsided by the reorganization announcement.. so much for their claims of higher ups in the reform movement, funneling them inside information.
the truth is that reform consists of isolated embittered individuals with an ax to grind.

Sure, TR. And I promise that my horse won't deposit his opinion of motorbikes on the seat of yours.
